We eat at Goin' Coastal at least once a month (typically on Monday, for $20 lobster night). We have never had anything short of an excellent meal. The food is outstanding and the wait staff is second to none. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great seafood.

Food here is really good. Have been three or four times. I keep coming back. Although Canton is a drive the food is worth it. We shared the shrimp and crab dip. Awesome! I had the seafood bowl without oysters ( not a fan). Loved it! My friend had the trout and said it was fabulous! Would definitely go again.

We have always had wonderful food at Goin' Coastal, but our latest visit was a bit of a disappointment. While the restaurant wasn't very busy for a Friday night, our main entrees took a long time to get to our table. We had long finished our appetizers (lobster bisque; still good!) and salads. My husband ordered a 1&1/2 lb. lobster, but when it arrived, it was much smaller than it should have been, and there was very little meat. I had ordered the crablegs, and while there were certainly a lot of them, they were not seasoned in any way and actually seemed a bit overcooked. We will be willing to give it another try based on our history there, but this was not a good meal.

I wasn't expecting this place to be so tasty! The drinks, the food, the bacon infused butter! It was absolutely mouth watering. The service was wonderful and who can argue with desserts made by the owner's mother… seriously! Can't wait to go back. We had the shrimp and crab dip (creamy, rich) and the lobster bisque (great update to a classic with lots of complex flavor). I had one of the fish specials made with arctic char that night - couldn't have been more perfect. Husband had the low country shrimp boil - they make their own seafood seasoning and the hints of cinnamon and nutmeg (maybe) were surprising and wonderful.

We have been here several times and everything has always been excellent! Food, service, quality, appetizers - - all consistent. Even though some dishes are a bit pricey, we know that we will be thrilled with the food so it is well worth going here. I also like that the family-style salad is still served as part of the meal whereas other restaurants have taken that away.

Our second visit to Goin Coastal and both experiences were consistent. I was impressed to see New Bedford scallops, Wahoo, and other regional seafood that are fairly uncommon in most Atlanta restaurants. Between the 4 of us we had Grouper, Surf and Turf with Scallops, Lobster, and salad and She Crab Bisque. Bisque was delicious; very light and extremely tasty; a definite must. Steak got a great rating from my husband and the scallops were nicely done, although I could not detect the signature sweetness of New Bedford scallops. Grouper got rave reviews & my lobster was good. Service was friendly and efficient. Good cocktails, wine not a generous pour. Not 5 stars but an oasis in the culinary desert of Canton & we will return.

We were surprised to find so many people at this restaurant in Canton on a Monday night, most of the streets in town were deserted! This seemed like a good sign to us. The bartender Josh was our server, and he checked on us many times during our visit, and made sure we had all we needed. The food was delicious, we had the shrimp and grits, and the stuffed rainbow trout. The chef has an excellent palate, the flavors were well balanced. Pricing gets into the $20s and $30s per entree, but that's the cost of high quality seafood these days. I would recommend this restaurant to friends.

We had a reservation for 8:30, but we didn't get seated until 9pm. This was disappointing. The food was amazing, but again, our service once seated was just mediocre. We had to ask more than once for drink refills. We've dined here before and have never had an issue. Guess it was just an off night. We're big fans of the restaurant overall. We will gladly return. My wife and I dined at Goin' Coastal for our 41st wedding anniversary. We loved it! Great food, excellent service in a warm setting. Food was outstanding from the mussel marinara appetizer to the family style salad that was chock full of veggies and topped with homemade dressing to our yummy entrees: lobster Mac & Cheese and Shrimp & Grits.
