"yummy! My go-to spot for great vegan food. Roti canai was addictive. The ginger seitan medallions were delectable. Service was attentive but there was a small mixup in the kitchen."

"We've been visiting Gobo on the UES since 2005 (we much prefer this location to that in the Village), regularly bringing along meat-eating out-of-town guests who never fail to be amazed at the experience. But, this most recent visit was perhaps the best yet. Each dish was beautifully presented, exactly the right level of heat (or cold), and just downright yummy! The lone exception was the dessert - soy ice cream over an apple/pear tart - which looked better than it tasted. And, we were disappointed that at 7:30 on a Friday evening they were out of our favorite - the Salt and Pepper Oyster Mushrooms. However, everything we had - the Seitan Skewers, New England Rolls, Risotto, Green Tea Noodles, and more - was perfect."

"Gobo is always nice and very dependable. Excellent appetizers, small plates, and main courses. Desserts could use an upgrade. Interesting wine and beer choices. Friendly but not especially crisp service, though net/net very solid effort. Would recommend."

"I really enjoyed my dinner at Gobo. I believe it's labeled as a vegetarian restaurant on yelp, and it should really be listed as a vegan restaurant (even better for me!), as there were only two vegetarian dishes, the rest being vegan. It's a bit small, so I was siting pretty close to the next couple, but that often happens in NYC. It's moderately priced, I would say for NYC. Our dinnner for two was about $75, with wine. I would certainly go back, especially since it' s so close to me!"

"Note - my boyfriend and I are not vegetarian or vegan, but we absolutely love it here - food is amazing, so tasty, never have to wait too long (we did make a reso for Valentine's Day however), and the service is always great. The prices are reasonable too, which just makes it all the better."
