A sophisticated ranch house look combined with Western decor and subtle Cowboy art is what diners will find at the all new GO WEST Restaurant and Saloon in West Tulsa! This locally owned restaurant features "Contemporary Cowboy Cuisine".



With a menu featuring "Contemporary Cowboy Cuisine" by owners Johnny and Aila Wimpy, the cuisine reflects the many influences of the American West and the Owners themselves.
The 6200 Square foot restaurant features an exhibition kitchen where diners can enjoy the culinary production.
Carefully selected products are used such as all-natural Oklahoma Beef, artisan goat cheese, locally sourced produce and natural chicken. House made breads, tortillas and pastries are produced by the culinary team. Hand cut fries, house sauces and dressings are unique to the cuisine.
Hand Cut Cowboy Ribeye to Maple Glazed Salmon with a Chipotle Vinaigrette along with Jalapeno Cheesecake are favorites!

  • "Go West was adequate but not exceptional on Sunday. We have been there before, but not for Sunday brunch time, and expected better. The server forgot things and left us alone for too long. Orders were mixed up. The noise, mainly from the chairs scraping on the floor, was disrupting."

  • "Had the chicken fried steak. The food was OK, but not outstanding like the last time we had went. It was a Saturday evening and I think there were 2 other couples in there at the time. The waitress was nice, but spent most of her time chatting with the chef about some personal problem. My wife had a cocktail which she rated as great. We didn't stick around for dessert. On the menu, says GoWest is available to rent any day. We have been here twice when they were completely closed due to a private event with no notice except on the door. This place is somewhat out of the way, so that makes it an inconvenience. I would recommend calling the restaurant to confirm that that they are open before you go."

  • "We went with another couple to try Go West. Wasn't sure what to expect. Went on a Friday night, 7 p.m. and wasn't too crowded. We got right in with our "Open Table" reservations! We ordered the evening special "Alaskan Salmon". It had been previously frozen, which is always risky, but we took our chances. Wow, was it ever fantastic! Absolutely no "fishy" taste - cooked to perfection. Ordered salads and they were completely fresh and flavorful made with creativity. Love salads that aren't just a hunk of lettuce with croutons & dressing! We all loved the salads - spinach and (forgot the name of the other one)...but excellent. Hot small biscuits and jalapeno corn bread also delivered to the table with REAL butter. Excellent!"

  • "This was our first time to dine at Go West, had a group of 7. Took about 45 mins. to get our water; cocktails arrived about the same time, but were prepared incorrectly. Bartender was on vacation and had not completed an inventory. Staff was filling in and did not know how to prepare the drinks (on the Go West drink menu), out of a lot of needed bar items. Service slow as our server was trying to help the bartender and wait on customers so meal was turned in late. Food was delicious and hot (however, my husband was not overly fond of the meatloaf). The chef sent our free appetizers and comped our dessert; we were there for 3 hours and felt we should have received more compensation for our patience. We will try it again though."

  • "I have been to Go West before and enjoyed it Very much in the past. I will never go again if they have a set menu like they did on Valentines Day! Did not care for the selection that they had and the wait staff was very confused. Had several people try to bring us desert and we hadn't even had our dinner yet. The dinner and whole experience was a let down for the $135.00 I spent. Would have enjoyed a steak somewhere else much better at 1/2 the cost."

  • "The overall atmosphere is not what you expect from a restaurant called Go West. It has an upperclass feel to it. The food tasted great! No complaints there. I was disappointed that there was a special menu on Valentines night. I wanted to try some of the items on their main menu. My only complaint would be the portion sizes were pretty small and the no bake chocolate cake seemed dry. For $55 per person, I would have like to see more food, perhaps an actual cut of steak and not medallions. But quality and taste was great!"

  • "Chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day because it was shown on the opentable website that they would have both Valentine's and Regular menu, however once I sat down they would only do the Valentine's menu. Should have got up and left. $55 dollars per person 4 course meal and I left still hungry. The chop salad was excellent, mushroom strudel was atrocious, steak medallions were good, but there were 3 very small ones (had to be less than 6 oz of meat), mashed potatoes were good, risotto was very bland and had to drench it in salt and pepper to eat it. Dessert was bread pudding(yum) with custard(bland). Restaurant needs to decide if it wants to be a steakhouse or a gourmet restaurant because it is failing at both!"

  • "we recieved a gift cert for Christmas. The food was not good. At least not what we had. Out waitress was good except that i asked her opinion on what i should order, the 101 steak or the smoked chicken n dumplings. Her recommndation was more about quantity nt quality. She said they are both delicious but if u r more hungry get the steak less hungry get the chicken. So i got the chicken n dumplings. They were gnocchi dumplings, hard little fried nuggets with slimy fatty chicken with a sauce, which the sauce was pretty good. My husband had the angus ribeye and he said it was tough as a boot. Did have a couple of jalapeno margaritas that were ok, but nothing special. Needless to say. We wont b going back ant time soon."

  • "We were very impressed by the facility itself. Nice layout, nice decor, etc. There were 4 of us there for dinner (and we were literally the only 4 people there the entire meal). None of us were happy with our food, the two women actually spit their's out a couple of times. It seems that this restaurant is trying too hard to be unique with their menu selections. The flavors don't compliment each other very well, and the meat was flavorless on all four menu selections. The bread did not taste fresh, and the salads were watery. Overall we would give the food a 3 out of 10, because we did love the dessert. We were excited to try this place because the food pictures on the web site looked so good! We will never be back."

The girl who waited on us wasn't even supposed to be our waitress but noticed no one had attended to us after 15 or 20 minutes. We did not let that ruin our experience though, and really enjoyed the unique dishes."

Some of our dinners were ok but for the price they were disappointing. Spoke to owner about the waitress and instead of listening to our complaint and doing his best to satisfy our issue he made excuses and argued with us about why the waitress was doing things the way she did. We had observed the waitress on her phone and gossiping with other waitresses instead of serving her tables so our complaints were warranted. This was not my first time to this establishment I have actually eaten there twice prior to this visit, but will not be back due to the owners behavior over our complaints."

  • "I had eaten here about a year ago and the food was much better then, and so I sugested this as a place to meet our out-of-town guests that I thought they might enjoy. I was so embarrassed! The salad was supposed to be served with warm goat cheese croquettes, which arrived not only not warm, but frozen. The steaks were underdone, the quail was overdone, and the sides ( potato cake and enchiladas on two different dishes) were clearly not freshly prepared. The only thing anyone thought was good were the bisquits and cornbread."

  • "3 of 4 meals were lukewarm at best. I am a black pepper lover but the meat loaf had so much pepper it was almost in edible. My friends pork chop and mac & cheese had good flavor but was lukewarm. The only hot meal was the chicken fried steak which was very good. The trifle dessert was tasty and light and a nice finish to a less than satisfying experience. The manager did not charge my husband and I for the meatloaf, gave us a 50% off coupon for next time and did give us the trifle at no charge. I seriously doubt that we will return - it was a 17 mile drive to get there - perhaps if it was closer I might give them another try. Our server was attentive but not intrusive and made sure our complaints were handled by the manager."
