We grabbed a quick dinner at Globe after arriving in San Francisco from the east coast. The service was excellent, quick and very personable. It was reminiscent of a small restaurant one might find in Greenwich Village in NYC. The noise level was a little high after a long day of travel, but we were able to get in and out in an hour. The pizza was good for the west coast.

Globe is an off-the-beaten path restaurant where business travelers can have a high-quality casual meal in the midst of real San Franciscans. The wait staff is polished yet relaxed and has always been very friendly to me. I visit San Francisco often for work and usually dine alone. I almost always pick Globe because of its friendly, warm, atmosphere and its great food. Unlike many other San Fracisco restaurants, Globe stays open late, which also is helpful.

Wes was terrific server, made it easy for our boys to find things they liked. We enjoyed each dish, the frisée salad was delicious, as we're the mussels, braised greens, salmon and halibut. Must try dessert!

Everything was very well prepared. First rate and at its price point excellent. Wines are a bit pricey but we found one very nice affordable wine that went well with our dinner. Had but one bar drink, but it was outstanding. I will go back.

When our server finally approached our table after several minutes without being acknowledged, she took our order on the run. I wasn't finished ordering or asking a question when she was walking away, and I had to call her back. As people left, we were the only ones there, yet we felt rushed, although the restaurant was still open for another hour for lunch and another party came in before we left. The beet and fennel salad was a good sized portion, perfect for sharing but lacked flavor in the dressing and tasted rather blah. We had the salmon which was delicious, but the pasta served, with it was completely tasteless. My friend said hers had too much pepper flakes, although I didn't taste any in mine. I do not recommend this place!

The place was very busy, yet the service & the food was great.
Every employee we encountered were very friendly & helpful.
