Welcome to GLOBAL GRILL @myong gourmet. We are Modern Global Cuisine, New American; with a tiny touch of Korean influence. We pride ourselves in purveying foods in the "European" way of going to the markets daily to find fresh ingredients like: Fresh Orata from Greece, Wild Alaska Salmon, Diver Scallops from the Gulf of Maine, Certified Angus Prime Beef from Pat LaFrieda, Organic Poultry and Hudson Valley Duck; then we take the finest global spices, imported from India, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, Japan and the US and create culinary magic. With our house made pastas and sauces, demi’s and marinades that are always made from scratch; there are simply no shortcuts to great food. You really CAN taste the difference!

  • "This place started out as a gourmet take-out, and it is reflected in the fact that the food is excellent but the service falls down. In fairness, over several visits the training of the wait staff seems to be improving. However, for a menu this ambitious they ought to figure out a way to get everyone's entree to the table at the same time. Additionally, the wine list is at best an afterthought. My advice: peruse the menu, order the first-rate take out, and eat it at home."

  • "We went with another couple who are 'foodies' and we were all extremely happy with the variety, quality, preparation and excitement of the food. Very healthy as well. Great if you are vegan, gluten sensitive or, like me, can eat anything and everything! Don't be put off because it's in a little strip mall area. It's very nice inside and well worth going. Great service, too. Knowledgeable and helpful."

  • "The food was inventive, delicious and beautifully presented. We had several people in our group who needed gluten free choices and there are many on this menu. Carla, our server, was pleasant, attentive and helpful as she patiently explained the ingredients in many of the dishes. One of our lunch orders was inadvertently not prepared and an alternative needed to be ordered. The restaurant comped two glasses of wine for the inconvenience. We loved the lentil pancake, fried chicken, tacos and mussels. Overall, we all enjoyed the experience and will go back again."

  • "Tried it for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and we were not disappointed. The red pepper soup was amazing! We will return. BTW, we have found over the years that we do become repeat regular guests if a restaurant's staff tries hard for Restaurant Week. I don't want to name names but some restaurants will never see us (and word-of-mouth friends) cross their thresholds again because their food/presentation/attitude was below par for restaurant week customers. Don't these restaurant owners realize what great advertising restaurant week is for them?"

  • "My wife and I go to Myong's whenever just the two of us get a chance to have a romantic dinner together. We love the food. Anything we had on the menu was fantastic. We are return customers so we try different items when we go. The slab bacon appetizer is to die for. I say " if heaven had a taste, that what it would taste like". You won't be disappointed."

  • "super fresh ingredients and wonderful cooking always makes for a fantastic meal. the baby back rib small plate melts in your mouth. their boo slaw salad is tasty,crunchy and delicious especially when you have moist tender chicken added. there were some issues with the menu and service tonight(which is are), but the management stepped up immediately and did the right thing. the lava cake dessert was decadent!!!!"

The food quality was excellent including a whole fish presented at the table before being filleted in the kitchen. We also had the best fried chicken ever. We will surely return. Both were absolutely delicious- the seasoning is delicate and really brings out the food'd flavor. My husband had a steak which was cooked perfectly black and blue as requested.   • "I have enjoyed this restaurant numerous times. We went this past weekend with some friends. While I enjoyed the food, I must say that the service was lacking. Clearly they were understaffed and I did feel badly for the waiter who was clearly overwhelmed. Appetizers were quite good and I found that the main courses were inconsistent. My husband and his friend really enjoyed the platter they shared but my girlfriend had to send her salmon back as it was not cooked through. I had the scallops and they tasted just okay. I would definitely go back despite the fact that it just was not as good as it's been in the past."

  • "We went for Restaurant Week and were surprised at how diverse the selections were and how ample the portions. Myong herself served as and chatted with us, which added to the experience. She has developed a creative and delicious menu; there were many selections that we would have like to try if we hadn't chosen what we did: appetizers were lamb slider and Korean beef taco; entrees were Korean fried chicken and short ribs with tagliatelle. We both had the poached pear with Longford's ice cream for dessert."
