This was a casual lunch occasion for our group, but glenmorgan would also be suitable for a special birthday or other celebratory occasion. The servers are very polite & professional, portions are generous but not ridiculous, and the menu has a nice variety of choices for all tastes. It can be hard to find a nice place to eat lunch on Saturday - this was great!

Sunday brunch was fantastic! The food at the buffet was delicious and beautifully displayed. Great variety- two vegetarians in our group and lots of choices! Breakfast and lunch options, all great. The dessert table was out of this world. Service was perfect- glasses/coffee cups refilled without asking, etc. Live piano music provided a nice touch. All around a great place to go- I'll definitely be back.

I would normally rate the service a 3 or 4 star for my last visit there, but it was obvious we were the waiters first table ever. He did have a thick accent, but if you don't mind asking him to repeat himself he made an outstanding waiter. We were seated outside which was nice since it was a beautiful day as well.

I had a business 'lunch' meeting at Glenmorgan on a Wednesday. I picked Glenmorgan because it is easily accessible from 476 and is a very classy place - especially given that it is located within the Radnor Hotel. I requested a quiet booth for my meeting (via my OpenTable reservation) - which I was given without further prompting. Both the food and the service was perfect. The waiter recognized that we were having a meeting and took that into consideration when tending to us - which was very much appreciated. I had a chicken sandwich - which was absolutely delicious. Thank you Glenmorgan for a wonderful experience. I'll be back.

  • Food, Service, and Atmosphere
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010
    Dined on 8/14/2010
Food, Service, and Atmosphere were superb. Since it was Saturday afternoon in late summer, there weren't many other diners there for lunch, so we were pampered. Three of our party enjoyed the crab sandwich and they raved about it. I had the Cobb Salad, which was filled with goodies and was (almost) more than I could finish. Contrary to our usual practice, we all ordered dessert. Ice-cream (with freshly made cookies) for the three of us. The fourth ordered lemon sorbet, which came with an extremely-abundant garnish of fresh fruit. The presentation of all of our dishes was elegant. Prices are a little high, but not as much as you would expect from the typical restaurant located in a high-end hotel. We were very well pleased.

The bar was staffed by two very friendly guys who were prompt and accommodating with special requests. The server was very attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. We actually asked to speak to the chef who prepared our meals because it was so good. Chef Brian was extremely friendly and humble. He was genuinely happy that we liked his productions.

Various salads were ordered by the five who attended the luncheon. The shrimp was overcooked on my salad, perhaps because 1 person in our party wanted her shrimp overcooked by "normal standards". Perhaps all of the shrimp was cooked similarly. A mistake.

Prior to making a reservation for Sunday brunch with my family, I called to see if I could order from the menu because brunch was too much food. I was told yes, and based on the online menu, we decided to go. When we arrived, I was directed another area to order but was presented with a limited menu, which had nothing to my liking. When I remarked the selections I saw online were not available, a manager said they only offered a "lite fare" for Sunday lunch. She informed me I could not order what I had seen online, a frittata. This was not acceptable to me but didn't seem to make a difference. Subsequently, I spoke to another manager, who ordered me a frittata. I don't understand why was that so difficult for manager #1.

Both my friend and I found Glenmorgan's to be a really enjoyable place for lunch. Rather than one large open room, seating is divided between the bar area and dining room. We requested a booth where we were able to enjoy looking out at the spring flowers. The grilled chicken sandwichs were large and tasty and came with french fries rather than the usual chips. Service by our waitress was pleasant and thoughtful. We would definitely visit Glenmorgan's again!

it was Easter Sunday, so this may be an unfair accessment, we were unable to get a reservation for the Bunch, it was booked. So we were offered the dining room across the hall allowing us to order directly from the menu. Think it would had been better if they had not tried to acommedate us, they did not have the staff, our toast arrived a half an hour before our eggs and we never did get a coffee refill. Heard the brunch is wonderful!

The food was okay. One of the people in my group ordered the special and it was not impressive. He said that it was not a good piece of meat and was fatty. While the portion of the short ribs was good, the taste was not memorable. I think this restaurant could be a great little "go to"spot if they tweeked a few of their food items and created a better ambiance.

  • GMG is a nice restaurant.

    Dined on 2/13/2010
GMG is a nice restaurant. I was completely impressed with the personal attention that we received. There was somethings that was little disturbing. There was a lack of silverware for the meal. Eventhough they tried to accomodate, it left me wondering how could a place of this stature forget the essentials. One of our appetizers was served out of a box. It clearly was not impressive for the evening. The food portions between my wife's plate and mine were dramatically different. If you are paying for people that know how to serve then it is worth the money and then some. If you are paying for a culinary experience, you would be better served going to another establishment.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

The food was good quality and the presentation was pretty good. It was definitely felt that effort was put into the meal. The portions were a little awkward, my appetizer was a couple bites while my wife's app was large enough for two people to share. My soup and main course were great, but my wife's main course was especially bland. Surprising because the rest of the meal was very tasty. The atmosphere was the main thorn of this rose of a meal. We were there on New Years Eve and the place was dead. No music, and we were the youngest couple in there by at least a decade or two. We had no idea this was such an old, fuddy-duddy place. It has serious potential for good times if there is live music and you stick to the bar area.

Great $30 prix fixe menu. Excellent tomato bisque, very large portion. Potato crusted halibut was tasty, desserts were only adequate. The deal included beer or wine. The beer was good, the wine adequate. Certainly a fabulous deal for the money! The service was excellent, neither overly obtrusive nor lacking. I will return!

Went for a birthday and the majority of the food was delicious. DON'T get their crab cakes. Looked and tasted as if they were bought straight from the Acme earlier in the day. Absolutely no visible crab meat, which should be there for a $30 dish. Even Devon Seafood has "real" crab cakes at a cheaper price. Caesar salads also weren't very cold. The salad and dressing was served warm, which is never good (even Carrabba's chills their plates/salad prior to serving!).
