I had to change my reservation to an hour later than originally scheduled because of an unexpected pickup from the airport. I called while en route as the flight was early and Glenmorgan was very accommodating. We were seated immediately upon arrival.

If you're out that way, the Radnor Hotel is a great spot. I recently scheduled a business breakfast there instead of downtown due to the ease of access and the free parking, and was very satisfied. The breakfast menu selection is very nice, the food is very good, and the service was gracious. Overall, a win. I've also been here for brunch, which is absolutely delicious.

The service was pretty poor. I had a reservation for 7:45, and the table wasn't ready for 15 minutes. No one took my order for ages, they brought my meal well before the bread, and then no one gave me the check, even though by that time there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant. I asked one of the waitresses for the check, and she walked away without answering. When she came back, I said, "Can I please get my check?" "And she said, "Oh, have you been waiting?" I said, "yes, I actually asked you for it, and you ignored me." She said "I apologize, I'm in the middle of three things." The restaurant was basically empty. I didn't really care about the other stuff, but not being able to get out of there was annoying.

Buffet area at times was so crowded, very difficult to get around & serve oneself from the buffet. Table legs were so badly spaced, it was very difficult to find a spot where ones legs did not hit a table leg. Food was good, a large variety. Would have preferred more bagel flavor choices, especially healthier ones. I.e. whole grain & not just white and raisin flavors. Bagels placed in a very bad location, as line for omelets went past the bagel area, difficult to get to bagels due to that line. Roast beef was not that good. I am guessing it was a steamboat roast instead of regular roast. AuJus was very thick and not the regular idea of what AuJus should be. It was more like a gravy then AuJus.

It was very noisy where we were sitting. It sounded like construction in the next room with the banging. The food was very good; however, the price for lunch was outrageous. I took a friend there for a birthday lunch. It was $81.68 and with tip $96.68. We had 2 orders of crab cakes, sweet potato fries, asked for a cup of tomato soup, one glass of wine, one diet soda, one hot tea and two ice creams. We were never told you do not have cups of soup and were served a full bowl at $8.00 per bowl. We could barely hear each other when the banging started. I don't understand why the waitress had to have others serving the food and then the bill was way beyond what a lunch should cost. M. Glenn

  • Classic Main Line Sunday Brunch

The Sunday Brunch at the Radnor Hotel is a Main Line Classic. Forget your diet! The servers will refill the champagne and coffee and clear the plates. The food is like a cruise ship. Pleasant and familiar. The deserts are more eye appealing than tasty. Great for family gatherings or birthday celebrations. The piano player does a nice job but the noise level in the room crowds the music. However, your table conversations are private...Lean in to hear! I hit the gym after a nap! Will do this again for the nostalgia!

a very nice place to go for a family brunch - overall, food is very good and service is excellent. Out only recommendation is for the restaurant to consider getting a better selection of bread/rolls - preferably warm. The ones they serve now are a bit dry - and cold. Other than that, an excellent place to go.

I love this place for brunch. Not only are you provided a great deal of food options but every option provided is delicious! My father and I took my mother there for her birthday. It was the first time for both my parents and they equally enjoyed themselves. My mother loved all the different versions of fish; my father loved everything else!!! There was a big birthday party group there for a little girl so it was a little noisy for me, but certainly not enough for me not to have enjoyed myself.

Took my significant other to the Radnor Hotel for a quick end of winter getaway. We live just a few miles away, and this was a perfect mini-vacation. Saturday night dinner was fine...she is vegan and found plenty of choices. I went with ever-trusty ceasar salad with grilled chicken. All was good, even as several very large groups parents associated with visiting athletic teams playing at Villanova demanded our server's attention. She managed the demands well, and good meal ended with espresso for me and green tea for my dining partner. This restaurant is always a safe choice.

Ended up here for the first time as a fallback for an early valentine day diner. Service and food were both outstanding. Quiet enough to have a calm, relaxed conversation. No shouting across the table like the "vibrant" scene of many restrurants these days (at least early on a Friday evening). Decor is low key, nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. PLenty of free parking right outside the door. I plan to be back!

Business meeting / dinner with our friends. An eclectic menu offering a wide variety of dining options for our table of six. We we're seated at the round corner table, allowing us the opportunity to discuss work, and enjoy each others company. A lobster salad appetizer was a refreshingly unexpected winter treat. Dinner options ranged from the tummy warming comfort food like meatloaf - scrumptious, crab cakes and lobster rolls. Wonderful service capped off a delightful dinner.

This restaurant was so nice, my daughter and I dined here twice just this week. Both times we had Amy as our waitress and she is just wonderful. We usually have to modify our order due to food allergies, and not only was she so kind and accommodating, she got it right without even writing it down and most of our waiters forget a thing or two. We dined on Christmas Day and thanked her for working so hard so we could enjoy a lovely lunch. The food was delicious. We had the BLT and it was so filling and good. We had the pleasure of her service again today when we met my sister and again, we enjoyed every minute. We had time for dessert today and it was well worth it! We will absolutely be back and hope to have Amy serve us every time.

Came on a busy Tuesday night, expecting to have dinner with my husband, but got stuck at work meeting. Beautiful hotel, The food was delicious and my server was so sweet and had excellent recommendations! I was truly impressed, they had a large party on the other side of the bar where my waitress was working, so I was happy to see that she was still very timely and patient with my questions even though she was busy. So many times service really lacks when the restaurant is so busy, but this place seems to have it down. Calamari was a bit too salty, but half price during happy hour and the manager did come over after I asked for the check and that shows true professionalism. Will definitely stay again next time my hubby can enjoy the food!

Went for Sunday brunch with a large group to celebrate the holidays. Good food and service for a reasonable price. Everyone enjoyed it. Only thing that would have made it better would have been to have everyone seated at one table but since we were a group of 14, we had to split up. We played "musical chairs" and swapped seats after each trip to the buffet so we could chat with everyone and made it a fun experience. I would highly recommend this location for either a special occasion brunch or just a casual get together.

A mediocre meal and service, not good value for the price. Some dishes were served lukewarm, bread was so stale as to be in edible, we did send it back and were told it would be awhile before fresh bread could be ready. Most of the entrees were not bad, they just did not live up to the menu description in flavor, preparation or presentation. The restaurant, in the hotel, was having a wedding and a rehearsal dinner that evening, so that may have had something to do with our less than satisfying experience, but we are not interested in returning.

Meet an old friend here for lunch on a Friday. It was busy but not too busy. As always, the food and services was outstanding. Both of us had a salad (Cobb & Caesar w/Salmon). Since we had to return to work after lunch we stuck with water as our drinks. The bill was $28 before tip - which we thought was very reasonable! We talked about how nice it was there and that we definitely have to meet up again there soon.

Decided to meet a special friend for a Birthday Brunch....just to enjoy a leisurely late morning. Had heard about Glenmorgan, but never been. There was an atmosphere of classic elegance, yet the place felt surprisingly casual. The show tunes and pop music played softy in the background by a superb pianist had my friend and I each interrupting each other as we tried to 'name that tune.' A spectacular selection of breakfast items, including a perfectly made omelet to order, along with heavier luncheon selections, and an amazing array of cold salads met every desire of our palates. It was just a delightful way to start the day. One slight complaint: at one point, we were left forkless, by an ever-so-gracious server, who temporarily forgot us

This is a hotel restaurant that is fine for folks who are traveling or passing through town for a night or two. Pub greb is good and works for a Kate night or room service lite meal. Checked in sat down. No one came to our table for 15 minutes! Out of prime rib (it was prime rib special night). We had reservation for 7pm - this was not late at night. So decided Cobb salad asked for no avacados. Salad came out 30 minutes later with avacados. Yes it was Villanova parent weekend, but this was a sad example of a restaurant.
