Glen-Ella Springs RestaurantTrout FishingTook my son trout fishing, stayed 2 nights. Had excellent pasta and shrimp, son great steak, packed breakfast, ok sausage biscuit but lunch sandwich ,club, was outstanding. Dinner trout and tuna steak both great . Limited wine but good, several speciality beers. Free wifi.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceDining at Glen Ella was a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional and plentiful. There's a wide variety to choose from on the menu from beef to chicken to seafood. We will definitely be back when in the area.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful restarauntThis is a gem. The location is a bit remote but the drive is well worth the effort. Our meals and service were great. We sat on the patio overlooking the gardens and could not have been more pleased with the view. Entrees are limited but everything is very well done and delicious. I saw other items that were ordered by guests and can not wait to return and try different items. Make sure and sample the desserts our creme brulee was amazing.
On Sunday they do not serve wine or beer because of county laws so be aware of this limitation when getting a reservation.
I will also recommend Glen-Ella for Atlanta residents. The drive is worth it, arrive in the area early and go see the Tallulah Gorge State Park a beautiful area.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGracious & freshWe enjoyed the calm demeanor of the staff and yet they were quick to be attentive to our requests. The owner stopped by our table a couple times to make sure we were satisfied with everything. The food was perfect for taste and porportion.
The gardens are beautiful!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMpleasantly surprisedMy experience at Glen Ella Springs Restaurant was delightful. The house salad was fresh, and the parmesan peppercorn ranch was delicious. Our table had the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the bacon was nice and crisp. My entree was one of the specials that was not on the menu- swordfish. It was so savory and melted in my mouth! Just when I thought I had eaten enough, I ordered dessert. The key lime pie was delectable! I also managed to try samples of my friend's desserts too- creme brulee, molten chocolate cake and apple bread pudding! When I go back, I will probably order the chocolate cake! Overall my dining experience was very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebrate a special occasionAlways go to Glen Ella Springs on special days like Mother's Day or birthdays as it is a special place that is warm and welcoming. Fine dining, yet not uncomfortably formal. Servings spread out well and unrushed. The surroundings of the Inn forces even the most die-hard workaholic to easily slow down and relax. The sincere care of the owner is evident within their entire staff.
