  • Private Party Facilities: Our Conference Room seats up to fourteen guests around a granite conference table and is perfect for small business meetings and private celebrations. It is located in the corner of our dining room, behind the French doors. Amenities include a video tape recorder/television and an amplifier separate from the dining room system, allowing you to tune the music to your function. A flip chart is available for use also. We treat this room as another dining room table, requiring no special menu arrangements. We anticipate the use of this room for lunch or dinner service, allowing two hours per meal. If you would like extended use of this room, special arrangements are gladly made - just let us know. Reservations for this room are handled by our front desk crew, just like other dining room reservations.

    NEW Easy, Convenient Parking is now just steps away! The Alaska State Legislature Parking lot (just behind the BrewHouse back door) is now open to the public for Parking weekdays after 5:30PM and ALL DAY Saturday and Sunday. Street level parking only. $1.00 an hour is the charge at this lot.

  • "Glacier Brewhouse is always a busy place. Food is good, and the menu changes constantly. Sometimes that is cool, sometimes that's a pain. We specifically came to have the chicken and waffles only to find it isn't offered any longer. That coupled with the difficulty of getting seated (even with reservations) may keep us away even with the otherwise positive experience."

  • "I have eaten at this restaurant many times always had good food, good service, etc. I had friends in from New Mexico and wanted to take them there. Had reservations, got in quickly, but the waitress was a little slow to respond to us with water and drinks. She forgot 2 of our items and we had to remind her to bring them. I have had much better service here before. The table next to us (a couple) it seemed she couldn't do enough for them. We were never offered ground pepper for our salads or any desert! The next table of course got the full blown service! I was a little embarrassed in front of my friends. The food however was great."

  • "I was on my way to Anchorage and talking with my friend in Wasilla about using the rest of my gift card. So I looked it up online to check the hours and menu. At the bottom of the screen was 'Make Reservation' so I did. It was easy great because we just about walked in and sat down. There were folks walking out mumbling about an hour wait. I will be sure to use this again."

  • "I have been going to the Glacier Brewhouse for years. While I love the atmosphere and the service this most recent time was great, the Brewhouse has a huge problem turning out consistently good food. And what is most surprising is the restaurant can't seem to properly cook Salmon. Properly cooked Salmon is opaque not translucent. However, I have routinely gotten undercooked Salmon (to the point of being almost raw) from the Brewhouse not only this last time but several times before. I can't imagine the same cook has been at the Brewhouse all these years which makes me question who is teaching these folks how to cook Salmon. C'mon folks, you're a restaurant in Alaska! People know what cooked Salmon looks like. Please figure it out."

  • "It was a preferred dinner spot for one of our clients. I had not eaten in here in about 20 years. Some of the best calamari I have ever tasted. All of the entrees were excellent. Portions were fine and the dessert selection caught the eye of half the dinner party. A great night out. It would have been nice to have a private room but we were able to carry on conversations."

  • "Very busy restaurant. Make reservations! Menu is interesting and beer and wine list appropriate. Food is good. I have been traveling to Alaska and Anchorage for almost 20 years regularly and have eaten at pretty much all of the top name restaurants and a lot of the others. Given their extreme environment, remember all of their food items are imported except of course their local sea food and legal game. (Why travel just south of the Arctic Circle and order beef raised 3,000 miles away?) You should eat at the Glacier BrewHouse."

  • "I have been here several times for dinner before events, for parties and just for a night out with my partner. Although the service is very good, the food tends to be hit or miss. Recently I had dinner here at the height of tourist season and it was a packed house! This could be the reason for the food being mediocre... My salad had virtually no dressing and was 10+ dollars and the steak my boyfriend ordered was cooked to perfection but the ingredients were not up to par with other fine dining locations. I understand that a kitchen can be overwhelmed at very busy times of the season, but since Anchorage has only a handful of good restaurants I expect more in terms of the quality and standards of the items on the menu."

  • "We were visiting for one night from New Jersey (on a cruise/tour with Princess). Thank you for allowing us to cash in our "free appetizer" coupon from Open Table, although it had expired. I loved my ribs dinner, but my friend was disappointed to see that her burger was well done (as is custom in Alaska). The waiter should have told us. Otherwise, the ambiance was great, the waiter was friendly, beer was cold and it was walking distance from the Captain Cook Hotel. Would definitely go again. Thanks!"

  • "We had an excellent waitress, her name was Paige and she was on top of it! Our food came out as ordered and her suggestion to my wife was excellent. The food was great, I had the ribs which were tender and well seasoned. My wife does not like red sauce for pizza and Paige offered up an alfredo type sauce which was excellent. The peanut butter pie and bread pudding are favorites of ours and did not disappoint. Excellent beer and wine selection. I would recommend reservations, can be hard to get into at times."

  • "We had one night to spend in Anchorage and chose the Glacier. It's a beautiful, big space with lots of charm and character---a very lively scene. Beer choices (IPA's in particular) were limited and there was only one on the menu which was disappointing. The waitress (Stephanie, I think) was the best! She was warm & friendly My dinner was a little disappointing. I got the surf and turf which sounded amazing. Small piece of filet, prawns, crab meat and halibut with grilled asparagus. It arrived without the crab. The halibut was completely overcooked but seemed like it would have been great if prepared right, 2 shrimps were delicious, meat was also overdone-waitress did bring the crab meat, which was delicious."

  • "Definitely better than your standard brew pub. Servers were EXTREMELY well trained on the food, and knew the nuances about the fish. Place runs with the efficiency of a chain, but with the feel of a local restaurant. Chris, our server, was excellent--very personable and engaging. Food was a solid B+. Sold the Salmon as "medium rare." Sent it back because it was overcooked, and sensed a little bit of "you don't know what you're talking about." Other than that moment, everything was great. Remade the salmon dish for me, and it was very tasty. However, felt like something else could have been done to acknowledge the fact I was eating my entree while others were ordering dessert. And on that note, peanut butter chocolate pie was great."

Shared the Blue and Bacon nachos, had the ribeye and asparagus for dinner, and somehow managed to squeeze in the BEST bread pudding for dessert. A+ dining experience!"

  • "Having dined here a few times, this time was the least successful. In the past, I would have given it a very good, but all three of us in the party were disappointed with our dishes. To be fair, this restaurant is always slammed, but at other times, it has seemed better organized. The service was quite erratic and unusually slow. Are there not enough waitstaff? Hard to know, but something is amiss. And the food was not up the usual standards of the Glacier Brew House. Maybe we hit it on an off night - I hope so."

  • "The so-called fresh halibut was very dry and mushy. In Alaska this is forbidden given that it comes from our waters and should be succulent and moist. I fault the cook and chef it letting this travesty occur. I am from Anchorage and know what good halibut tastes like."

  • "A couple of "locals" recommended Glacier Brew House for dinner and we are so glad we went there. The food was truly outstanding and the service was just as good. We wanted some really fresh Alaskan halibut and salmon and we were not disappointed. We both said we don't think we have ever had a better meal, the food was really fantastic. If you are ever in Anchorage... don't hesitate... make a reservation, you won't be sorry."

  • "One of the worst meals I/we ever had. Seafood scramble was awful, chicken and vegetables cold, fish and chips cool, burger over done. Wait staff was off their game. It's too bad we used to come here monthly but it has gone downhill recently and that is a shame. I would rather go some where else even Texas Road House!"
