He got us situated at a corner table, and got our waiter for us.
I felt like I was in a traditional restaurant on the outskirts of Rome.
For me, the ambience is of a suburban Roman home crowded with luxuries.
Service was excellent but not corporate or chain-like. No wine sommelier, but the waiter got assistance from the barman.
Food was excellent. One in my party can’t eat spice, and the waiter happily complied with her order to make adjustments to the pasta in regard to the spice and sauce. The carpaccio was good, as was the whole fish baked in a salt dome.

I have had many people recommend Italian restaurants only to be disappointed- that won't happen here. We ordered from the prix fixe menu, where for $33.00 we each got an app, entree, & dessert. All of the apps were fantastic- very tasty beef carpaccio,tuna carpaccio,excellet sausage greens and beans,& a mushroom pizza,which was regular size with real mozzerella. We all had a piece. For our entrees we ordered veal parm which had delicious sauce, braciola with FRESH gnocchi, and delicious pesto linguini. The prix fixe menu had four unique,delicious desserts, we each got one: ricotta cheese cake,tiramisu,panna cotta, & chocolate mousse. We wanted a nice restaurant that wouldn't cost a fortune. Girl sole was the perfect restaurant. The ambience was wonderful, the staff is all family from Italy, the food was good and the price was right. Our only problem was trying to locate their free valet parking. If you try this restaurant, the valet parking is down the street in the Ocean Club. Bon Appetite!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding!My party of 6 had a wonderful meal. We had their fixed price menu which included appetizer, entree and dessert and it was well worth it. The food was excellent and portions plentiful. I did have an issue with Open Table. I made the reservation for 6 people but wanted to change it to 7 but when I tried Open Table indicated that I could not get a reservation for 7 people for the next 8 weeks. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty except for our party but about an hour later it got busier, but still was not full to capacity. For future reference, if you need to change your reservation and Open Table doesn't allow it, call the restaurant directly.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall good experience. We had an early dinner before heading out to a show and it was very quiet in the restaurant for most of our dinner. However, by the time we were leaving it was a packed house and vibrant scene. I had the prixe fixe lunch which atarted with a warm filet mignon carppaccio
and a pasta entrée with a fine homemade Bolognese sauce.

The service was pleasant, prompt and non-intrusive. Loved the risoto and osso bucco. This was our second time at Girasole and we really look forward to coming back soon.
