The semi-private room in Palatine can accommodate up to 50 people and Kildeer up to 90

Our mission is to present authentic Italian dishes from all parts of Italy. Our families origins span Italy from Bari in the south to Siena in the north.   • "I have been going to Gianni's for years and I love it. small cozy and the food is fabulous. I love their sauce supreme! This Sunday the wait staff was short and our server lacked nay type of personality. There we 2 servers and no bar tender and the manager seemed like he was floating through the restaurant without a car in the world while the 2 servers were killing themselves. She was accommodating and sent over lovely delicious birthday cake for my sister in-law. The food is as usual very outstanding. They had large parties and no one seemed to be bothered by the lack of attention they were getting. We never had to wait a half hour for our order to be taken. All in all it was delicious. Maybe they should hire amore competent manager."

  • "We went to Gianni's on Sun. @ 6:15 p.m. We had a reservation, but there was ample seating available. Friendly greeting & our server was very helpful & efficient. Bread was hard to pull apart & not heated. Oysters were fabulous. Manager(?) stopped by at table after the apps were served to check on things. Stuffed pepper soup was colorful and piping hot which was good, but it lacked flavor. Fried goat cheese app was tasty, but the arugula w/ it was bland. The Seafood/pasta dish we ordered(special?) was delicious. Ample helping that we split & still brought home. Overall, a very nice dining experience. Only real complaint was that the restaurant was very chilly inside (We were not near a window). But would def. throw on warmer attire & return."

  • "This was my 3rd time visiting Gianni's and enjoy coming here for great food. I have enjoyed the veal dishes and have had their lasagna (with meat sauce) and all has been delicious. When busy it can be crowded, but if you're looking for a grat meal this is a place to go!"

  • "It is always a pleasure to introduce someone to a restaurant you love and have them enjoy it to. I booked on Friday morning for Friday night within 15 minutes of the time I wanted and we were seated fairly promptly. I had planned on the tilapia franchese but was lured away by one of the specials. My dining companion, having heard me rave about the tilapia, ordered that. Both entrees were wonderful -- we shared -- and each took home enough for lunch the next day."

  • "My husband and I had a lovely dinner for Valentines Day. We ordered sauteed broccoli as an appetizer, which wasn't as crisp/tender as we'd have liked, but delicious nonetheless. I ordered from the specials menu and had a nice bowtie pasta dish with chicken, spinach and garbanzo beans in a garlic and oil sauce. My husband ordered from the "make your own pasta" section and was happy with his rigatoni, spinach and mushroom dinner. The only downside to our dinner was that we were seated in the corner near two windows and were chilly most of the night because of a cold draft."

  • "Every time I go to Gianni's, restaurant is packed. A key characteristic of a great restaurant in my mine. The food is simply very well prepared. The wait staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. And, on the rare occasion, when there is a communication issue (such as requesting fettuccini and getting farfalle instead) they are quick to fix it (usually in 10 minutes or less). I have never had a bad meal at Gianni's."

  • "It took an extra 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, but this was OK given the post-Valentine's Day crowd probably celebrating a day later as we were. We got a corner table which was fabulous; a little less noise and out of the traffic of this tight restaurant. The waitress was super friendly, always timely and directed us to the butterfish special which was huge. One of our butterfish orders was undercooked but no so much that it needed to be sent back. We've dined here before and will be back for sure."

  • "We've been to this restaurant several times and always had a very positive experience. We've had the mussels for an appetizer and always loved them. This time was no different with one exception. There were very few of them. It's almost as though we received half an order. There wasn't really enough for two people. The bottom of the serving bowl wasn't even fully covered. Kind of disappointing."
