Loved the food! Loved the ambiance! Loved our waiter! Magical evening sitting on the porch and yet my partner was slightly disappointed did not sit inside- next time! Surprise was it was a bit dressier than expected - better description of "dress code" would be "corporate dress down". Excellent experience!

geronimo has long been a favorite for special occasions or just for a consistently great meal. situated on the far end of canyon road you can stroll through the surrounding galleries as you wait for a table. there is a small lively bar that fills up quickly. the food is high end nuvo santa fe cuisine. the staff is knowledgeable and helful with menu and wine pairings. on our last visit we had the highly recommended peppered elk tenderloin and the scallops. the preparation was flawless. our server suggested a wonderful wine that we otherwise would not have tried. if it's not too cool i suggest dining outside on the portal. you can watch the world go by and enjoy the cool santa fe evening.

This restaurant came highly recommemded for my "special occasion" birthday, and it definitely lived up to the recommendation. The food was artistically presented, and was even better, if possible, than it looked! Situated on Canyon Rd., it's in an ideal setting with proximity to wonderful art galleries.

On my visits to Santa Fe, Geronimo is always on my list of top restaurants, and furthermore has not ceased to be one of my favorites. The food is top shelf with a variety of choices to please almost any taste,is always prepared well and presented beautifully. The wine list is quite adequate, and the service is absolutely fantastic. I continue to recommend Geronimo to anyone I know who is visiting Santa Fe.

Good, but very aggressively priced, food. Strong domestic wine list. The hot spot for demonstrative, loud, new visitors. Not typical of old Santa Fe, but worth a visit. The main evening meal courses can be heavier than necessary in Summer's heat. Early diners may feel rushed as the staff works to turn over the tables.

Geronimo's reputation precedes it. Unfortunately in our experience a stellar dining experience was not to be had. We sat on the patio which was a good thing because the restaurant itself was VERY hot. During the time we were there, the restrooms broke down and we had to be escorted across the street to us a lavatory in one of the galleries. Our drinks did not arrive before our dinner which appeared at the table lightning fast. The service was cold and inexperienced. My dish, the chile shrimp was excellent, but the salmon unremarkable. This is a VERY expensive restaurant and we had to make reservations weeks in advance of our trip. We were sad and disappointed that it did not make the grade once we arrived.

The food was every bit as good as advertised but my wife and I were very disappointed in the ambiance. We were seated at a table where we literally felt the breeze of the wait staff racing back and forth. It was terribly distracting from the otherwise fine dining experience and quite simply inappropriate at the prices that we were paying for our meals.

Quite really, the best in Santa Fé, and that alone is saying a lot since this is quite a foodie's paradise. The service was a tad overwhelmed the night we were there but on the whole everything was outstanding. The halibut was just right for me, the yellow beet salad equally outstanding.

The restaurant is in a lovely old home in a wonderful neighborhood on a winding famous street (Canyon Rd.). It had been highly recommended. Sadly, the Chef who had made it famous left in January, 2008. The menu was exciting, the food not up to our expectations. The sauce on my fish separated immediately and the fish was slightly overcooked. My husbands scallops were adequate. The presentation of both dinners was lovely.

Thanks for asking. To tell you the truth, we found the food to be uninspired and unmemorable. Compared with the previous three times I'd dined at Geronimo, it was a real disappointment. The wine we purchased was not a good value, the staff was unenthusiastic and just ok, and even the rolls that were brought to our tables (following our starters - well over 30 minutes after we were seated) were simply warm, wheat rolls. I had looked forward to my stay in Santa Fe, in part because I was eager to return to Geronimo. It's true. This was my husband's first visit to Geronimo. He didn't know why I was so excited to bring him there and said that he felt no need for us to return. Blessings and peace, Beverly

Food and service were excellent. We had a large table, in a quiet corner, but most patrons seemed crowded together in much noisier rooms. Though excellent, the presentation and preperation, where not as as spectacular, as at some competitors in the area, notably, the 'Coyote Cafe'. A trip to the restrooms is an obstacle course dodging waiters laden with trays of hot food.
