  • "We discovered Geronimo about 10 years ago. Finally made it back to Santa Fe this spring and found that Geronimo was just as good as we remembered. In fact we dined there two consecutive evenings. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was superb. Dishes we sampled included a huge wedge Caesar salad construction, lamb chops entree, an amazing tender and flavorful cut of elk, halibut, sea bass with miso and ramen noodles -- all were extraordinary. Desserts -- Meyer lemon crepe and banana creme tart. Wonderful. Excellent wine list. All in all, a great place to enjoy a wonderful dinner. "

  • "Excellent service--all you could ask for. The Lobster salad was excellent but the sea bass was very dissapointing--the bass was good but the whole dish had no flavor--none at all. They brought some salt and that was better but when I usually have sea bass the liquid has taste."

  • "It's always a treat to find a great new restaurant. While visiting Abiquiu, we ventured into Santa Fe to wander Canyon Rd. Diner at Geronimo seemed ideal from a convenience stand point and it was also an outstanding dinner. Fish (Salmon), fowl (Game Hen), and elk - all quite excellent. Creative and very tasty appetizers, great breads, fine wine list, and beautiful presentation. Service was excellent as well. Met or exceeded expectations at a restaurant where I had high expectations."

We started our dinner by sharing the crab cakes and a pear salad. Both were delicious. For our main courses we had the salmon and the halibut special. Both were amazing. The Meyer lemon crepe is a must! The service is impeccable. Will definitely return on our future visits to Santa Fe. "

We were concerned that it might have lost its edge, as popular restaurants often do. No worries here. I saw tables being served in French and know German was available as well. For 56 years I thought my Mom made the best caesar salad, now she fell to number two."

  • "We try to eat here every time we are in Santa Fe. This time we tried a new menu item, the cream of mussel soup. Excellent--not too thick nor too thin but absolutely delicious. Entrees were beautifully presented, both the steak and the spicy stacked shrimp with rice cakes. You must order the Gruet blanc de noirs, the New Mexico version of champagne. Come hungry as you will also want to try the desserts as well. The wait staff is extremely gracious which also makes dining here a pleasure. A pricey but fabulous restaurant."

  • "I'm providing the review on behalf of my parents who dined at Geronimo recently. They were in Santa Fe celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary (they honeymooned in Santa Fe). My brother, sister and I decided to treat our parents to a celebratory meal, and Geronimo was our choice. My parents enjoyed their experience and food (filet mignon, salmon and apple dessert) immensely. Thank you to the staff at Geronimo for making their dining experience so special! In sharp contrast to their experience at Geronimo, they had brunch the following morning at The Pantry. This is where they had dinner 58 years ago on their honeymoon!"

We were treated like royalty and can't say enough positive things to enhance this review. We have celebrated our decade birthdays in various places like Aspen and Santa Fe and place Geronimo's at the top of our list. We both agree that we will not wait another decade to return.   • "Geronimo is still our go-to special occasion restaurant in Santa Fe. They just do it all exactly right! The service, food, ambience is so wonderful. And, this time we discovered a young bartender named Julian who is incredibly knowledge about spirits and wine. We loved talking to him and went with his suggestions - all were right on. Don't miss the chance to talk with him, if you can spend a few minutes in the bar before dinner. He's a gem, as is this entire restaurant and staff. They don't miss any details. A wonderful evening!"

  • "The food was all delicious, but comments from the staff like. "How are we enjoying our initial flavors ??' brought the place way down.. When we made the reservation we let them know it was for a special occasion. a birthday. I think they forgot.. no mention of that.. no candle in a cookie or anything. We saw that the chef was one of 3 in New Mexico who was nominated for a James Beard award so we decided to try it for the food. We drove up from Albuquerque. Next time we'll just stay here and eat in our local James Beard nominated deliciousness.. We're glad we had the food, but we don't need to go back."

The staff was attentive, but not obsequious, though the water selections of 'still, sparkling, or "Santa Fe Tap"' struck us as amusing. The sea bass and the elk tenderloin were outstanding, and, observing the meals of our fellow diners, I'm certain that all the selections would have been great. Definitely worth the time!"

We tried every corner of the menu from the Elk to the vegetarian pairings and were blown away with the quality and detail that went into every dish. We even ordered more of the Jasmine rice croutons that accompanied the Caesar salad because they were so delightful. The staff was more knowledgeable than any we experienced and could describe each dish in great detail. The wine list was outstanding. And the 4 desserts we selected were each a little bit of heaven in your mouth. Its apparent that every detail was given thought from start to finish and nothing was left to chance. If you have only one meal in Santa Fe....it has to be GERONIMNO!"

  • "We went to Geronimo's to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a wonderful evening. We had the Wasabi Caesar salad and tuna tartar for appetizers. They also served their wonderful homemade lavosh and sour dough rolls. For our entrees we had the lamb chops and the sea bass with ramen noodles. My son had the shrimp and Jasmine rice cakes and our daughter had the salmon with risotto. All were terrific. For dessert we had the bread pudding ( not my favorite but good), homemade ice cream, chocolate cake and the carrot cake. All in all, it was a fantastic meal to celebrate a birthday. It is our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. We highly recommend it!"

  • "My wife took me to Geronimo's to celebrate my birthday tonight. Couldn't wait to get back to our hotel to write this review. The location of Geronimo's is the very art-sy Canyon Road area of Santa Fe. Great service from the hostess to the waiter to the bussers. Terrific wine list. Took the waiter's recommendation on the elk tenderloin..."The best dish we make." and my wife long decided on the Veggie prix fixe (Asian Pear salad - with little grilled bleu cheese "sandwiches"; Mushroom soup and a Japanese-inspired eggplant lasagna). My elk tenderloin came on a bed for mashed potatoes, sugar-snap peas and a mushroom salad. It really was the "best dish THEY make" (though this was our 1st visit...hehehe). Great dessert/coffee. Loved it all!"

Her coolness and fake smile (it was "on" when addressing us and then immediately disappeared as soon as she turned away) contrasted with our table's joyful mood and upbeat energy. But the food was very good. We all enjoyed it. But... now that I think back... the squash/pumpkin soup was a tad disappointing. We all found that it had less flavor than anticipated -- more pear/sweet/cream than squash/pumpkin/savory."
