Very good taste - portabellas overcooked but rest of ingredients very good. Wife had plum pork. Very nicely presented, a trifle salty for our taste. Wine list seemed good and had a full bar. Good parking - both valet and nearby lot. We had a window table with good view of capitol. I ordered the special, a filet mignon with skin-on mashed potatoes and green beans (haricot verts). it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the roast pork and mixed vegetables and it was also cooked perfectly and had a lovely sauce that went well with the whole plate. The view is nice, but not spectacular. Pricing was fair for a fancy place. Saturday nite was our last dinner together until he gets back in a year, and I wanted it to be extra special. I found Germantown Cafe online by googling "best restaurants" in Nashville, and decided to take my boyfriend there. I did make online reservations in advance in case they were busy. The restaurant's staff and the food at Germantown Cafe far surpassed any of my expectations. This restaurant is truly INCREDIBLE. The staff were so polite and attentive, and personally greeted us and seated us within minutes of arriving. Our waiter was fantastic & very knowledgable. We had the crab cakes which were phenomenal,as was dessert and our entrees.
