  • Public Transit: We are conveniently located near the McPherson Square metro station on the orange and blue lines. Exit the metro at Vermont Avenue and walk one-half block North on 15th Street. Traveling on the red line stop at Farragut North. Walk two blocks east on K Street. Turn right at the corner of 15th and K. We are mid-way through the block on the right.

  • Parking Details: We offer Valet Parking Service nightly beginning at 5:00pm and Sunday"s for our Jazz Brunch beginning at 10:00am. There is a fee of $8 per car. In addition, there are several near by parking garages and limited on-street parking. Please make sure to read the signs and meters in reference to time restrictions and fees.

  • "I went to Georgia Brown's expecting decent Southern fare, fried chicken, biscuits and the like. What I got was under seasoned luke warm food that completely missed the mark. The fried chicken had not salt in the batter - clearly - and there are no salt and pepper shakers on any of the tables. The biscuits tasted bland, definately not baked in house. Service was apathetic and my waiter made a stop by the table only once after I placed my order. While the food came out unusually fast the waiter was slow as can be. Bottom line, if you want bland food and an I don't give a Sh*t service, go ahead. Otherwise, look elsewhere for authentic Southern food."

  • "We went to Georgia Brown's for my Mother's birthday on April 13, 2014 and everything from the food, hostess and bottomless mimosas was awesome. We were late to our reservation because of the Cherry Blossom traffic, but the hostess was nice enough to give me a call and let me know that we had a few more minutes for our grace period. That meant a lot to me becuse I really wanted my Mom to experience Georgia Brown's. Our waiter was very nice and definitely kept the Mimosas coming. My family really enjoyed the fact that we could eat as much as we wanted at the buffet and was sent home with an entree' for dinner. We will be visiting Georgia Brown's again in the near future."

  • "For the very first time dining at Georgia Brown's, I came away disappointed. I had arrived in Washington mid-afternoon on a business trip and was staying at a hotel about 1-1/2 blocks away. I immediately made a reservation at Georgia Brown's through Open Table, and I received a confirmation for my request for the earliest available reservation -- 4:45 -- as I had been in transit and had missed lunch. I arrived at the restaurant about 5 minutes before my reserved time and checked in with the maître d'."

  • "I had heard through word of mouth about this place so I tried it for the first time along with my lady and another couple for Sunday brunch. I had a reservation and the hostess was very friendly and accommodating. It was all our first time eating here and the waiter at first acted kind of too busy to explain the concept until I mentioned we didn't know exactly quite what to do. After some schmoozing, the waiter became very helpful and helpful. The food was on point and had a great selection! I would definitely come back."

  • "Did not know that there was a band there for Sunday Brunch. Band was so loud could not talk to my companion. Service was terrrible. Our waiter left us sitting there so many times. We requested coffee but never got it. Spent a fortune for lunch with drinks (which were not very good either). Food was mediocre. Unless you want a noisy atmosphere, I do not recommend Sunday Brunch."

  • "Our waiter carded me when I ordered a cocktail (in my early 20s) and then proceeded to bring me a complimentary peach cobbler at the end of our meal for my birthday -- even though it was several days ago! Excellent service overall (my mom just had back surgery and they brought her a towel to roll up for extra back support) and exceptional food -- always a treat to go there!"

This time, I checked in for my reservation at 7:15pm on time and was told we had to wait even though I could see tables open. 15 minutes later we were seated by the waiter's station. Added to this it was so dark here you could not see the menu. Further a jazz trio was playing that made conversation impossible. The food was fair though the peach cobbler was bland and simply sweet. I'd not recommend GB's again given the rude service and the poor seating."

  • "I was really looking forward to dining here. The food met my high expectations, however the services didn't. I feel like I was profiled soon as I was seated. my guess and I ordered the chicken our server immediately placed hot sauce on our table without us requesting ii I thought it was thoughtful until The guests at the table next to use ordered the samething and they receive hot sauce. IFeel like my server sterotyped use based on my race and age. Lookingaround I could see my server was giving much more attention to all his other guests. My side order never came. They replaced it with something I didnt order. I had to request water refills. My server never checked to see was everything ok. Overall he wasnt very attentive."

  • "The food and service were outstanding. There were great food choices for a variety of tastes. We enjoyed the Devil Shrimp and the catfish...both well prepared and fresh. Our hotel concierge recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The flavors were vibrant and even better than expected. I have had many Low Country meals in Charleston and the surrounding area and none have been any better than this. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "This was the third time I've gone to Georgia Brown's - and while overall it was a positive experience and I would recommend it, I do think the restaurant has stopped paying attention to important details. My biggest complaint would be that the staff handling the buffet do nothing to keep the buffet clean. This means that if you come at the end of brunch there is a mess of spilled sides, sauces, grits, syrup, etc etc etc all over the buffet."

  • "I've been going to Georgia Brown's for decades and have always found the service and food to be outstanding. Not so on my recent visit. My business guest had food allergies and the waiter was unable to adequately answer her many questions about ingredients. She specifically asked that one food ingredient not be included in her order. Surprised that it showed up on the platter. She ate around it. Waiter never asked if I wanted a refill on my drink order. Unapologetic about the misfire on the guest's food order and didn't offer to remedy the situation."

Had a great sever named Edwin that new the menu and kept things up. Chimee Sterak was the hit but fried chicken right behind. I thought the mashed potatoes could have used a bit more flavor but the gravy covered that up."

  • "We were visiting D.C. and I was looking for a special restaurant for our final dinner and also to celebrate my husband's bday - we were not disappointed! The restaurant is beautiful with a fun ambiance. The food was amazing (and this is in comparison to other good restaurants in Boston!). We loved the she crab soup - best soup I've ever tasted. We also loved the crab cakes, beet salad, fried chicken, shrimp and grits. But the highlight of the evening was our waiter Vernon. He was very patient and kind to us 1st timers, he was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu, he was attentive and he was funny! To top it off, he surprised my husband with a complimentary peach cobbler a la mode - which was big enough for all 5 of us to share!"
