  • "Wonderful service from Tyrell- delicious cerviche, tender short ribs- perfect! Generous chocolate mousse serving with a surprise at the button of the cup- won't give that away!"

  • "Service and staff are exceptional, maybe the best of any place in Charlotte to eat."

  • "While the menu is somewhat limited in terms of choices, everything is excellent. They consistently have the best selection of oysters and service is always excellent. Very romantic if you sit in one of the booths."

  • "This was our third visit and each time gets better. Our server, Laura B., couldn't have been more knowledgeable or more eager to please. Thanks to all!"

  • "We've been to George's twice before - specifically for their Bastille Day celebration - and it's been wonderful! However, the other night was not so great. We were seated in the bar area - which was fun and festive - but service left a lot to be desired. Three bartenders were also waiting on all the tables ... I've been in the business - and understand a hectic night - but our guy was dedicated to a large table next to us. Our food took forever - and came out after the large parties' - when we had actually ordered at least 15 min prior to them. Overall, not a great experience ... especially since it's not cheap. Will skip it next year ..."

  • "We all got very different entrees, and loved everything. 2 Vegetarians in the group raved about it, and everyone of course loved everything meat-wise too! Absolutely no complaints from the food to the service to the drinks :)"

  • "We were at George's with a group before our concert on Saturday. The food was fantastic!! I had the short ribs and my husband had the steak frites both were delicious! We will be back!"

  • "We just love it here. It was decked out for Bastille day. they did a great job. as usual, food is wonderful. we have our favorite server, so we are spoiled. Ned is wonderful. Cannot beat Georges."

  • "I was visiting the Charlotte area and had a late dinner at Georges Brasserie. I was not disappointed. The meal started off with a Frisee salad with a poached egg and it was so good. We had steak frites with a fantastic bernaise and finished with a chocolate mousse, which many do not serve anymore. Overall, everything was delicious and it made with hanker to be in Paris."

  • "My last French restaurant visit was in NYC. As expected, this one of two French restaurants in Charlotte does not compare. The oysters were fresh with over ten types to choose from and my partners escargot was excellent. The French bread was excellent, but would have preferred more then plain butter to go with it. My salmon dish was overcooked. I was told that the short ribs were very good. I have seen much better wine lists in Charlotte."

  • "A very creative menu combinibg French classics with fresh takes. Georges has something for every taste. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and kbowledgeable. Definitely high-end dining bit well worth it!"

  • "Have been here several times and never disappointed. Food, service and ambiance all very good and complimentary, convenient valet parking a plus."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "Service at this restaurant was terrible, not all the waiter's fault! To cut cost, they have eliminated busboys, you might think that would be minor but you would be mistaken. Three fourth of our requests could have been easily filled by a busboy, thus the waiter is stretched thin and hard to find. Add to that, questionable music that did not help the situation and you have a formula for low expectation for a repeat visit. Note the title, fix the problem!"

  • "The food is excellent. Chef Drew Dodd knows his way around the kitchen and dinning room. He never fails to speak to his guests which is most appreciated."

  • "Great food. Good service, good ambience, great location. For a fine dining restaurant, the pricing is good.loved the mussels in white wine. Our server was very efficient, cheerful and service was quick. They even have kids menu..which is a first for me at a French restaurant!"

  • "My partner and I have come here several times now and it has never disappointed us. The service is attnetive and the food is good. An excellent place for brunch! Outside seating is available"

  • "Food was great as usual. Up to now service has been incredible, however our waiter this Sunday was terrible. He made remarks when my wife asked to get the specials again, forgot drinks which he waited 25 minutes to receive, tables seated 15 to 20 minutes after us receive their food first, and he would disappear and we couldn't find him for 15 minutes at a time. We felt as though we were intruding on his time. You would think having a party of eight you would work hard in order to make more money. I will go back but I will never sit at his station again."

  • "Georges is one of my favorite spots in Charlotte. Always great food and willing staff to please. The Duck Confit appetizer is a most, also the Frisse Salad! If you order The Cassuelette skip the appetizer or share it."

  • "Excellent as always. The raw bar is fantastic and the mussel pots are amazing. Service is top notch. Thanks to Kenny for a great evening."

  • "Went for Father's Day at 6:30. Place was not full. Had nice table. Service was very slow at beginning. No one came over for at least 10 minutes or acknowledged us. Food was good. My son had short ribs but was not enough for a serving. Did not want to make a scene and send back. My husband thought the onion soup was very sweet and not beefy enough. We all liked it. All in all it was nice to be with the family."

  • "We made a reservation for fathers day brunch. It was delicious! They have a nice variety of egg dishes as well as a few lunch items, salads and breakfast items. The bottomless mimosas are yummy!"

  • "We have eaten at George's several times and also held a work holiday dinner here this year. We are never disappointed in the elegant atmosphere, attentive and professional waitstaff and the delicious food. Particularly notable are the mussels in white wine, a large enough portion for several to share and be sure to get extra of the wonderful bread for dipping! Also good on this visit were the halibut special and the ribeye steak which was enhanced by an amazing bacon & sun-dried tomato butter. This is a great special occasion restaurant and we enjoyed sharing it with our out-of-town guest. The only thing we didn't enjoy was seeing a family walk in dressed in shorts, baseball jersies, and flip flops - wish they had been sent to Taco Mac!"

  • "We had dinner on the patio on Friday and all three of us loved the food and service. Everyone was attentive. The rains came, but we decided to continue on the covered patio, and so they moved the table back a bit and the evening went on. It's consistently a place that I enjoy going. I like the setting and the food is always good--whether it's appetizers or meals. The large bar is another place to dine more casually, as well as, the patio. Plus it's in a nice setting at Piedmont Row with other activities going on. I look forward to going back."

  • "Mussels were good but the amount served was obscene. I hated to see half my portion go to waste because I could not finish them. Cheese plate had a stake piece of cheese on it- hard as a rock They forgot to turn in my drink order... I had to ask where it was"
    Dined on 6/11/2014
  • "Great brunch! They clearly mark gluten free items and also mark on items that can be modified for gluten free. I was with 3 other people and we were all convinced we picked the best thing on the menu. We had ceme brulee and chocolate mousse for desert and it was fantastic. The best part were the $12 bottomless mimosa's and they are not chintzey on the champagne. I will be back."

  • "Just another super evening at Georges. We enjoyed the oysters, great wine and atmosphere."

  • "This was our second time and I must say that after this visit we will go again. The first time we were not impressed with this restaurant. With the food or service. We decided to give it another try and we are very happy we did. After a drink at the well manned bar we ate on the patio. Our server couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful and our food was delicious. Definitely going back to this lovely restaurant!"

  • "Excellent service, several employees acknowledged our anniversary and we were given complimentary glasses of champaign. Very nice touch. My goat cheese and carmelized onion tart was excellent! The french onion soup tasted like the $4 soup at other restaurants. My steak was quite good however the fries were not hot and the price was excessive for portion of short rib received. Our server, Jeffery, was knowledgable and attentive until the end of the meal. You must specify what of your leftovers you want boxed up or you may not get everything. Our bread was removed from the plate. Alcoholic drinks overpriced for amount served."

  • "We dine at Georges a number of times a year. It's always reliable for great food and great service. We've had many things on the menu and they are all very good. We always have the mussels and some oysters."
    Dined on 5/31/2014
  • "Charcuterie-Excellent. Trout-Excellent Pork chop- The chop was an excellent chop cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the apple jus was so sweet is detracted greatly from the chop. While apple is a traditional accompaniment to pork, this was almost a dessert sauce and really added nothing except an unpleasant sweetness. Let's all begin a move to get rid of excess sugar in a dinner main. "

  • "It was my partner's birthday. I thought about some other places that we hadn't tried. But I knew it would be great at Georges, and I didn't feel like taking chances on a special occasion. Ned always makes it special- birthday or not. Chef Andrew fills us in at our table on the night's specials. Always a treat to see him."

  • "Our food and service were terrific. We had a nice booth and it was nice a romantic. My trout and my wife's filet were both excellent. The Matre D even came over to intro duct himself and ask how things were -- a nice touch."
