When I made the reservation, I did not realize that they only served brunch until 4 p.m. I asked if we could order off the dinner menu and they accomodated us. Our waitress was helpful and very friendly. Her name was Dominique. We all ordered steak and my filet mignon was very tender and seasoned well. The first two tables we were placed at were not very comfortable because most of the people in are our group were above average in height. However, everytime we asked they found a new spot for us once another other groups had left. They were so gracious and we were very appreciative. We were sat immediately by a smiling and courteous host. Our server got our drink orders and we were also given delicious bread with cheese in the middle! What a nice way to start off the meal. We ordered some appetizers which came out quickly and piping hot. We loved them both, the scallops in the grits and the fresh mozzarella salad. Our dinners were timed perfectly and came out soon after we had finished appetizers. My steak was cooked perfectly and my girlfriend's salmon looked excellent. (She said it was, too.) The menu is always full of tasty choices for carnivores, vegetarians and everyone in between. The salad selection is awesome. The greens are green and crunchy with interesting additions. The swordfish with sweet potato/crab meat hash was fabulous. Mac and cheese is heavenly. Even the meat loaf was special. Enter the restaurant through the lobby of the hotel. Everyone enjoyed their dish - seafood fettuccine looked delish, as well as the corn chowder, which was a special. The salads were fresh and crisp. I called to let them know, and they said it was no problem. Parking was convenient, and adjacent to the restaurant in a garage. We were seated immediately and the energy in the restaurant was immediately evident. We were greated by our waiter within two minutes of seating. He explained the specials and asked for our drink order. When our waiter brought our drinks, he also brought a large roll that had a butter and cheese mixture throughout. It was delicious. My wife's majito was delicious also. Our entrees came shortly thereafter, my wife order the filet and cake. The crab cake was delicious with no shells. I had the NY strip, cooked to perfection. We came here for a meal with my parents and had a great time. My husband ordered the skirt steak and I had the chicken marsala. They were both excellent. Food came out hot and perfectly seasoned. We also tried the fresh mozzarella appetizer, so yummy! Our server was great. Attentive and knowledgeable. When I made the reservation, I requested a seat that was more romantic than others. We were seated right in front of this fireplace and it was so nice and romantic. I took my wife this time. She really enjoyed the restaurant. We met the manager Gloria, who was very friendly and personable. I was truly impressed with the restaurant and its location. The food was very good. I ordered the crab cakes, a glass of Raven Wood Zinfidel with a side of grits. The only complaint is the grits were on the cold side which is not good for grits. The grits were tasty, but a little over cooked. My coworker got the chicken breast with tomatoes,cheese and mushrooms and broccoli as the side dish in which she said was very good. The atomosphere was great. The service is very friendly. The food was served quickly once we ordered. The cotton candy at the end is a nice touch, but we did not eat any.

The mojito was bitter and the cosmo was tart. I would stick to the basics if I ever had the opportunity to drink their again. Would liketo have seen another Reisling or Sweet Red on the Wine List. This has become a frequent stop because the food and service is consistently excellent. The menu has something for everyone in your party from the sophisticated to the person who wants something basic. I love their salads – always fresh. I am working my way through the menu: the ribs both regular and short ribs are favorites. They brought a free dessert for fun, which got a couple of bites from both sides of the table. This is quickly becoming a great place to meet my son who lives somewhat nearby.
