Only in its 4th year of operation in 2012, Gennaro’s Pizzeria expanded to Gennaro’s Italian Restaurant, adding a state-of-the-art open kitchen with iron chefs, a classy 70-seat dining room, a covered 40-seat outdoor patio (used from Memorial Day to Halloween) and fine dining servers.
Gennaro… Salzano grew up in Chambersburg … Trenton, NJ’s neighborhood of Italian eateries. He knew then he wanted to be a restaurateur but unlike many chefs, he does not say he learned to cook from his mother or grandmother. Rather, he says, “Home is where I learned how to eat well.”
He also learned the art of making thin crust pizza while working at the iconic De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies and gathered knowledge of Italian specialty foods at Porfirio’s Market.
Gennaro’s passion is serving Italian dishes that improve on the traditional. Homemade pastas, soups and salads are created every day along with deliveries of fresh provisions. So, come to Gennaro’s house where you"ll learn how to eat well, too!Continued
