Geneva ChophouseDarlene was our server. SheDarlene was our server. She was simply amazing and made my husband and I feel extremely special. We were celebrating a special event and she went beyond. We have visited the Grand Geneva and the Chophouse on multiple occasions and have always been satisfied and been treated very well. We were engaged at the Grand Geneva 3 years ago--had dinner at the chophouse before our engagement, celebrated our anniversary at the chophouse, and now this third occasion being a collegiate achievement. We will continue to visit the Grand Geneva and the Chophouse for special occasions.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA Good Dining ExperienceThis is a very nice restaurant and if you are staying on the property (Grand Geneva Resort) I recommend making a reservation and dining there. The service is great and the food is delightful. We were celebrating our anniversary with what I had hoped would be a bit more secluded/quiet environment. Unfortunately we were seated right next to a group of men who had apparently just completed a golf event. They were initially very loud as they were settling in. My suggestion would be to seat people celebrating events like B-days, anniversaries etc. away from group functions.

The dinner overall was very good but not great when considering the total cost. The white rolls did not look appetizing, and they would have tasted better had they been browned. We each ordered a Ribeye and my steak had to be returned because I ordered Medium and there was no pink inside. The second one was good. The Key Lime Pie was also good. The waitress wished her a happy birthday upon arrival at our table and treated her special throughout our brunch! She delivered 2 red roses and at the end of our meal a plate of desserts with a candle which gave us the opportunity to sing Happy Birthday. This location in the Grand Geneva resort is good and they work hard at making your evening amazing.They also have fresh bread they bring out with the most amazing blue cheese butter. Table selction was great, and they had rose petals spread out on the table for for our special occasion. We also recieved 2 complementary glasses of champagne that was a nice touch! Our server, Tina was outstanding in all aspects of our dinner experience. Our food, Waygu Carpaccio was outstanding, Dry Aged Ribeye & Prime Rib with Lobster Tail was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The 3 sides, Lobster/Mac n Cheese, Mushrooms & Twice Baked Potatoes were also delicious. Would highley reccomend! They are/were so accommodating in every respect. The steaks are absolutely outstanding and the salads and sides are big in proportion as well as flavor.
I came with a very special person and upon making my reservation I requested "best seat in the house and any nice touches would be appreciated". We were sat in (my estimation) *the best* seat in the house and there were also red & white rose petals scattered on the table cloth!! Seriously awesome and it was a complete surprise, we felt like royalty!
You simply cannot go wrong with Geneva Chophouse! Can't wait to do it again.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third time atThis was our third time at the Chophouse. First visit a couple of years ago was not great. Average food (halibut) for very expensive prices. Last year we decided to try it again. What a difference. I had the best steak I've had in a long time. My husband had salmon. Everything was wonderful.
So this year we went back for a third time and I had the same steak and it was cooked perfectly. Filet is hard to get right as it is rather thick. This was just pink enough but not overdone.
The service was great even though they were very busy. We switched a planned birthday dessert for an ice cream Brandy Alexander. Absolutely decadent. Couldn't have one of those more than once a year.

I had a fantastic table by the window which suited both of us perfectly. Beth, my server was amazingly attentive and very friendly and the manager even stopped by for a chat and a couple of laughs.
The food was fantastic...the lobster mac and cheese is to die for! And the desert options made it very difficult to choose a favourite.
