Geneva ChophousePlease try this place!We enjoyed our dinner at the Chophouse. Dining on the patio overlooking the lake is lovely and offered a great experience. This is not an inexpensive place however you get what you pay for and the food is well prepared, well presented, and the menu offers a nice variety. Grouper was tasty--almost as good as we get in Fl. Chicken was delicious. We split a wedge and creamed spinach...both were prepared perfectly and portions were generous. The carrot cake that was presented in honor of my birthday was terrific, moist, perfect cream cheese frosting and perfect for sharing! There was a nice wine list, which included our favorite--Benzinger.
Best of all our waitress, Dina was very attentive and well informed. The entire wait staff as there to back her up and the manager came to our table twice to make certain that everything was good.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMYou Made Us Feel Special!!!We were celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary. The chopped salad, lambchops, blackened Tuna, twice baked potato, asparagus, and warm rolls were delicious. Since we didn't want any champagne, we had two complimentary desserts. The rose petals on the table were a very nice special effect. It was so nice of our waiters and manager to come to the table to wish us a Happy Anniversary. My only suggestion is regarding signage. The restaurant is embedded in the Grand Geneva Resort and there are no signs naming the restaurant on any of the roadways leading to the resort or on the resort property.. Since we weren't staying at the Grand Geneva it took us a little while to figure out the appropriate entrance, where to park, etc.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely place, good foodWe had two dinners in a row. The place was upscale but not overboard. We went out as a couple for a more romantic outings. The food was very good. I wish it were a bit less pricey so we could eat there more often while staying at the resort. The restaurant is quieter than most restaurants we've been to in recent years so it was very nice to have a normal conversation without straining your voice but not so quiet that we feel the need to whisper. She was simply amazing and made my husband and I feel extremely special. We were celebrating a special event and she went beyond. We have visited the Grand Geneva and the Chophouse on multiple occasions and have always been satisfied and been treated very well. We were engaged at the Grand Geneva 3 years ago--had dinner at the chophouse before our engagement, celebrated our anniversary at the chophouse, and now this third occasion being a collegiate achievement. The service is great and the food is delightful. I love the warm bread and the three spreads they give you to choose from (Butter, Blue Cheese Butter & Sun Dried Tomato).....simply delighful!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall experienceAll was very good with one minor exception. We were celebrating our anniversary with what I had hoped would be a bit more secluded/quiet environment. Unfortunately we were seated right next to a group of men who had apparently just completed a golf event. They were initially very loud as they were settling in. My suggestion would be to seat people celebrating events like B-days, anniversaries etc. away from group functions.

It was very pleasant. The dinner overall was very good but not great when considering the total cost. The white rolls did not look appetizing, and they would have tasted better had they been browned. We each ordered a Ribeye and my steak had to be returned because I ordered Medium and there was no pink inside. The second one was good. The Key Lime Pie was also good. The waitress wished her a happy birthday upon arrival at our table and treated her special throughout our brunch! She delivered 2 red roses and at the end of our meal a plate of desserts with a candle which gave us the opportunity to sing Happy Birthday. This location in the Grand Geneva resort is good and they work hard at making your evening amazing.They also have fresh bread they bring out with the most amazing blue cheese butter. They are/were so accommodating in every respect. The steaks are absolutely outstanding and the salads and sides are big in proportion as well as flavor.
I came with a very special person and upon making my reservation I requested "best seat in the house and any nice touches would be appreciated". We were sat in (my estimation) *the best* seat in the house and there were also red & white rose petals scattered on the table cloth!! Seriously awesome and it was a complete surprise, we felt like royalty!
You simply cannot go wrong with Geneva Chophouse! Can't wait to do it again.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third time atThis was our third time at the Chophouse. First visit a couple of years ago was not great. Average food (halibut) for very expensive prices. Last year we decided to try it again. What a difference. I had the best steak I've had in a long time. My husband had salmon. Everything was wonderful.
So this year we went back for a third time and I had the same steak and it was cooked perfectly. Filet is hard to get right as it is rather thick. This was just pink enough but not overdone.
The service was great even though they were very busy. We switched a planned birthday dessert for an ice cream Brandy Alexander. Absolutely decadent. Couldn't have one of those more than once a year.

I had a fantastic table by the window which suited both of us perfectly. Beth, my server was amazingly attentive and very friendly and the manager even stopped by for a chat and a couple of laughs.
The food was fantastic...the lobster mac and cheese is to die for! And the desert options made it very difficult to choose a favourite.
