  • Disappointing… again...

We returned for brunch again - had not been in several years. What a disappointed. The quality of the food is mediocre at best and the selection on the Sunday Brunch buffet is minimal. This is a shame because the spaces are nice and the service is top notch. I have also dined here with mice results. Summertime on the patio, fresh grilled salmon special - GREAT! Valentine's a few years back - great steak, but horrible salad, sides & deserts that tasted like they came from a grocery box. This restaurant has such potential, but the food is failing. Time to up their game!

We were disappointed with the food selection this time. At one time when I went to the buffet, there were 2 hot dishes that were empty. I stood around for a couple of minutes thinking they would be filled but no luck. I did ask a server who went immediately to replenish them. We have enjoyed the buffet in the past and may try again to see if it has improved.

The food was ok. The main dish was good, I had lobster. The stuffing was terrible. The side dishes were cold. Service was good, not great. I liked that bar was next door and had a DJ that we could enjoy after dinner. Their DJ was very good and energetic

I'd visited the Sunday Brunch a few weeks prior with a friend. We enjoyed the food so much, we brought a friend along. The Sunday Christmas brunch was busy. Many families were there and the restaurant had a Santa Clause there to chat with children. The variety of the brunch was wonderful as usual. From chilled shrimp to prime rib to simple scrambled eggs....they have it all. The dessert table was wonderful as well. My only complaint was the difference in service between our previous waitress and the one we had during this visit. Our previous waitress bought us banana chocolate chip pancakes and French toast without asking. During this visit, I only got pancakes because the waitress forgot which table she needed to deliver them to.

Our reservation was for eleven o'clock. By the time we got there the buffet was already wiped out and we waited quite a long time for it to be replenished. Even the server at the carving table was annoyed as people kept going to him to find out when the trays would be refilled. Our server was good getting us things from the kitchen specially made as the buffet was kind of limited. Not sure I would go again.

We went on a Tuesday and it was not crowded, so it was quiet and easy to have a conversation among our group or four. Everyone liked their menu choice. We brought our own wine and there was $2 charge per person which was okay. The waiter was very personable. We shared on dessert which was good.

Our waitress was friendly. The chicken noodle soup was tasty and not overly salted. For dinner, I ordered the Spanikopita; my dining partner ordered the Walnut Crusted chicken. The chicken arrived piping hot, but my dinner was lukewarm at most and the pastry was limp and no longer crispy. It seemed that the Spanikopita was sitting on a counter for quite some time, before it was served. Also, the rolls served before the meal were dried out. Don't think I'll go back.

We have dined here on a number of occasions, including the Sunday brunch (which I highly recommend), and each time has been a consistently good experience. Good food, price point that isn't outrageous, lively neighborhood scene and our waiter Frank is a hoot. Very comfortable and cozy atmosphere without being dull or stuffy. We ordered prime rib and the seafood sampler both of which were good. If you are looking for a nice place to have a good meal with your family or significant other, I recommend giving Generations a try.

took awhile for our dinner to arrive which wasn't too much of a concern because we were not in a rush. Our waitress was very attentive to us during the wait which was nice. We thought the food was just average, and should be modernized. We though the dishes we chose had no orginality. Something you would expect at a discount resaurant chain.

Seated at table for quite some time, we flagged our waitress over to ask her if we could get drinks. I noticed her going back and forth to 2 other tables without coming to get a drink order from us. The whole evening was asking for her to come back with something. Don't get me wrong, she was a very nice lady, just not on top of her game that night. The food was good, but not over the top. They had a band playing in the other room which at times seemed very loud. When we got the bill the tip was included which we found very odd as usually the tip is added when there are 8 people or more, we were 6. We figured our waitress knew she wasn't very good so added the tip. The overall experience is not one that I am rushing back to.

Drinks were great and unique! Appetizers okay but french onion soup tasted more like vegetable base. Main meal took awhile and was very small portions. The Shrimp .San Antonio was extremely tough! The seafood sampler had 1 piece of each seafood offered. Service was very friendly but no specials offered and slow

I was very disappointed on Sunday when I took her, my daughter and another grand daughter. I went there because my other times there were pleasant and enjoyable. Not so this time. We had reservations for 11:00. Food in warmers were either rarely refreshed or left empty. Egg were dry, sausage not of good quality, home fries afull. Desserts looked good but weren't tasty, except for sticky buns and turtle desert. When we left shrimp bowl was badly in need of refill, and most desserts and the buffet was until 3PM. Chicken marsala looked dreadful, pasta dish taste like sauce was out of a can. It took a long time for our 2 omlets, and 1 order of French toast. Good coffee. Won't be going back again. we had been there 2x before and also dinner

We found ourselves on the road nr Media early Sunday afternoon, so I looked for a restaurant nearby. Generations had a table available for, so we went. They have an extensive Sunday brunch, but unfortunately, we didn't check the remaining quantities of food remaining in their closed hot servers. Because we were there at 2 and the brunch ended at 3, no new food was brought out. The entrees remaining were dried out from the constant heat and very sparse. I think the early dinners probably enjoyed their meals more than we did simply because of timing. The desserts, BTW, were wonderful! If we're ever in that area again, we might give them a try, if the timing is better.

Generations never disappoints--it has the best food around. It is always delicious, hot and plentiful. We all have our favorites, but even when we try different things, we are amazed at how good the food is. Our server was wonderful but service was slow. However, as we were with friends, that just gave us more time to talk and enjoy the company. It was an enjoyable experience, as always at Generations.

Food is mostly pleasant. This is the 3rd time I have been here. But the service, once your past the door, is always awful. No check backs, you have to flag someone down. Most recently, for lunch out server. Couldn't remember the order. A manager came up and interrupted taking the order. Bread was definitely stale. My salad had soft old fruit mixed with fresh cut fruit? it was nearly translucent. I picked thru for the good mango/strawberries. The music was loud & oddly raucous. We were there a total of 70min. Not unreasonable. But to be asked to pay, so she can get her tip and leave? Really? Go do other stuff, while we chat. Simply rude. It's unlikely I'd return here at this point, as this seems to be the way it always is.

Lets start with the waitress who's greeting is "what can I git ya". Well drinks would be nice. I noticed two other tables going to the bar to refill drinks, so I had to do the same. The food was horrendous. The only thing that was good was the butter. Seafood tastes frozen and not prepared very well. My wifes crabcakes were cold. I wouldn't eat here again if it were free. Beware. Its a nice atmosphere , it such ashame there are so many other negatives.

I ordered a steak medium-rare and asked the waitress if they have any problems making it medium rare. She said that there would be no problem and if it needs to get done more then they would just cook it up a little more. The steak came out well. I sent it back and the next time the steak came out it was rare so I asked for it to be done some more and it still came back rare. I packed it up and took it home where I could cook it myself since they had no idea how to cook it. I have been here in the past and thought it was good which is why when we were in the area we tried it again. I think I will pass next time and try another place in the area. Server was nice.
