I have always liked Gemini. But don't go as often as I would like because of the noise level which can be obtrusive. When you can't talk to your friends, no matter how good the food is, and it is excellent, why subject yourself to an unpleasant dining experience.

This restaurant has an amazing ability to capture the season's best offerings...every season. If there is any part of Fall that you admire, eat here. The options right now are outstanding. Definitely order the Seasonal Salad. Lettuce with diced squash, pumpkin seeds, walnut vinaigrette, YUM

We had theater tickets and wanted a great restaurant on Lincoln Ave., within walking distance. We found it at Gemini Bistro. The menu was inspired; the bread fabulous; the food lived up to expectations. The only disappointment was that we didn't have enough time for dessert. So next time for sure!

I typically enjoy Gemini Bistro but our service was horrible. The waitress barely came to the table. All of the food took forever to come to the table. My steak was overcooked but she was no where to be found to tell. I will go back but ask to be moved if I ever get the same waitress again.

I've tried several of their menu items and all have been amazing. I also love the layout of their menu -- small/medium/large -- because they're easy to share. The most recent trip there, I had the filet (one of their specials that night). I always order my steaks medium rare and then hesitate, fearing it will end up more medium. My filet at Gemini Bistro was a perfect medium rare. I also highly recommend their brussel sprouts, which I've had several times and they've been consistently delicious. I usually order red wine (good options there) but have tried some of their cocktails and really enjoyed those -- the Squirtsky is delicious but better, at least in my opinion, during the warmer months.

I only ask that if a partial party arrives with a reservation that they get seated. When the bar area is full there is no place to wait and have a drink, consequently, it would be nice to be seated and order a drink while we wait. I'm a regular who knows the wait staff by name. I understand the thinking of management but when the bar is full and tables are open, why would you make people stand in the doorway?

Nice ambience, dim lighting, appealing menu, friendly, attentive staff! Enjoyed 5-course tasting for their 5th anniversary. VERY generous portions: 1)Gazpacho w/bread crisps, crab-not my fave item, but theirs was good-suggest hot tomato soup instead 2)Sweet pork belly on Johnny cake w/awesome cabbage slaw w/apples-nice touch! 3)The BEST lobster corn risotto on the planet! SOOO delicious-outstanding! 4)Steak au poivre (cooked perfectly MR), bit too much pepper-still, excellent w/cognac sauce & yummy potatoes au gratin 5)Mini profiteroles w/vanilla gelato & chocolate sauce-like these minis better than usual large ones. *Just add more sauce to pork dish & dessert. Diners next to us agreed on all of review. Overall, wonderful meal & experience!

I've been here a few times but I finally took my girlfriend there for a celebratory dinner and it was great. She got a great glass of wine and I got a unique beer, both great. We split mussels (the white wine/garlic) and they were fantastic. We then split a burger and the short rib ravioli- excellent choices. It was a BIT pricey and the waiter didn't tell us that the parmesan truffle fries were an addition $3 and that espresso was a rip off, but otherwise it was great and I'd definitely go back.

we ate here pretty early as we were booked at a theater in the are by 7,30 PM. The place was then a bit empty and we were somewhat in a hurry. The waiter was very kind and did her best to complete the service on time for the theater. My food was good, while my companin's was really not too exciting (on the other hand, ordering pasta with the clams being Italians was not likely a too brilliant choice on her side .... but this between you and me). The main plus to me is that we were ther after a dinner the previous evening at the Girl and the Goat, and if you take the time to read my comments about that place you may understand why I was well surprised from Gemini

While some of the food was quite good, it was also quite pricey. The TV showing a football game was extremely annoying as well as the bad music which was loud. This restaurant needs to figure out what it wants to be: a sports bar with music or a pleasant dining experience. We will not go back.

The 4 (family w college aged kids) of us shared--2 ended up with Fixe Prix options, one with an entree and one with a small plate. We mixed and matched and everything was delightful, but I especially liked the pork tenderloin and the salad that had peaches in it (spring salad, it may have been called). I don't do well with wheat, so the extensive gluten-free options therefore helped us narrow the MANY Chicago options down to Gemini. Daughter was just back from China so said "no" to any Asian/Asian-inspired. Dad likes meat and potatoes, so the menu covered his tastes, as well. Son is not particular, but enjoyed his meal and the beer (something unique with apricot flavor).

I took my (now fiance) here the night I proposed to her. The waitress (Lissel, sorry for spelling!) waited to for her to leave to ask me if it had occurred yet. She was very observant! She was very knowledgable of the menu and wine list. She was absolutely amazing! The best server we have ever had! We would return just for her. She gave us the right amount of time before checking on us. She was personable. She was just great! The food....was outstanding! The chef is truly talented! We had the flat bread special and peach salad to start, both were amazing. Next my fiance had the chicken and short rib. Both were perfect dishes! For dessert *our waitress brought us) Panna cotta and smores....both, PERFECT. We highly recommend and will return.
