The 10 piece meal had a few undercooked pieces. It just wasn't worth it for the overpriced cost.

My husband & I had the beet salad, frisée salad, pumpkin risotto, and steak frites which were all delicious! Tables were pretty close together however that's typical for a Chicago restaurant. Definitely would go back!

I had the braised short rib and it melted in my mouth! The meat was prepared and presented beautifully and our server, Brandy, was attentive, funny and very nice! It's always refreshing when a server can go through a long list of daily specials and describe them so detailed with ease. She really knew her stuff! I would absolutely recommend Gemini Bistro.

This restaurant has an upscale vibe. Patrons appeared to be mostly in their mid to late 30's. The bar staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. My only criticism is that the portions (even the large, main course ones) seemed to be a little small. We were seated at a table at the back of the restaurant, near the bar, and that seemed to be the quietest table in the restaurant, which is what we were hoping for. The service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant and would visit it again when back in the Chicago area.

I have taken 4 different parties of out of state guests here and to a person, they have loved Gemini Bistro. And they are foodies so typically pretty tough critics. It is lively, so if you need to have a serious, quiet conversation you might want to consider another venue...otherwise, come here! WInter inside or summer outside, this place delivers good food and drink with professional service.

We've now tried this restaurant twice -- and we will not be going back. It's too bad, because the location and ambiance are pretty good. On this most recent visit, it took nearly 20 minutes for our waiter (Antonio) to take our drink order. Come on.... Our experience went downhill from there. While the bone-in pork chop I ordered was actually quite good, my wife ordered the short rib ravioli and it was absolutely awful -- a tiny (four piece) portion, but, more importantly, it was one of the saltiest dishes either of us had ever tasted. In addition, the brussels sprouts we ordered were burned to a crisp. Very disappointing. And, while we don't remember the specifics of our first visit, it similarly left a bad taste in our mouths.

Noise continues to be a problem at Gemini Bistro. Bar is too close to dining tables, resulting in crowiding at booths and tables as well as high noise. Food is very good, but pricing continues to be a little high. Very nice outdoor area for summer.

Even on a Saturday night, service wasn't rushed (they weren't trying to get us out so they could seat another table). They were willing to make substitutions on menu items and the menu itself had something for everyone. We've been here twice and would go back again.

I went for the first time, earlier this week for my friend's birthday. The menu had so many great sounding options it was hard to decide. I had the seared scallops and a side of brussel sprouts - all were delicious including the apple dessert - wow! Service was fantastic - our waitress was attentive without being intrusive - my friend and i had a lot to catch up on, but we didnt feel like we were being rushed or that we needed to leave.

I have always liked Gemini. But don't go as often as I would like because of the noise level which can be obtrusive. When you can't talk to your friends, no matter how good the food is, and it is excellent, why subject yourself to an unpleasant dining experience.

We had theater tickets and wanted a great restaurant on Lincoln Ave., within walking distance. We found it at Gemini Bistro. The menu was inspired; the bread fabulous; the food lived up to expectations. The only disappointment was that we didn't have enough time for dessert. So next time for sure!

I typically enjoy Gemini Bistro but our service was horrible. The waitress barely came to the table. All of the food took forever to come to the table. My steak was overcooked but she was no where to be found to tell. I will go back but ask to be moved if I ever get the same waitress again.

I've tried several of their menu items and all have been amazing. I also love the layout of their menu -- small/medium/large -- because they're easy to share. The most recent trip there, I had the filet (one of their specials that night). I always order my steaks medium rare and then hesitate, fearing it will end up more medium. My filet at Gemini Bistro was a perfect medium rare. I also highly recommend their brussel sprouts, which I've had several times and they've been consistently delicious. I usually order red wine (good options there) but have tried some of their cocktails and really enjoyed those -- the Squirtsky is delicious but better, at least in my opinion, during the warmer months.

I only ask that if a partial party arrives with a reservation that they get seated. When the bar area is full there is no place to wait and have a drink, consequently, it would be nice to be seated and order a drink while we wait. I'm a regular who knows the wait staff by name. I understand the thinking of management but when the bar is full and tables are open, why would you make people stand in the doorway?

VERY generous portions: 1)Gazpacho w/bread crisps, crab-not my fave item, but theirs was good-suggest hot tomato soup instead 2)Sweet pork belly on Johnny cake w/awesome cabbage slaw w/apples-nice touch! 3)The BEST lobster corn risotto on the planet! SOOO delicious-outstanding! 4)Steak au poivre (cooked perfectly MR), bit too much pepper-still, excellent w/cognac sauce & yummy potatoes au gratin 5)Mini profiteroles w/vanilla gelato & chocolate sauce-like these minis better than usual large ones. *Just add more sauce to pork dish & dessert.
