Well, even almost an hour late (thankfully our reservation was early!) they not only had a table for us, but they read my reservation notes and saved the front table for us (my mom is disabled and can't walk too far at one time). The waiters were awesome - very attentive, friendly but professional and made the stress of the traffic completely disappear.

The first time I went was for my husband and I's one year wedding anniversary and the second was for a girls night out. The ambiance is romantic and enchanting and Geja's truly has the best fondue I have ever tasted! When you step inside, it looks more like you are in Europe than Chicago. The staff is just as incredible as the food. The host was very pleasant and friendly and our waitress not only knew both the dinner and wine menus well, but she also walked us through each step of the fondue experience. It was not just a meal - it was a dining experience! The booths are charming. The classical guitarist added a touch of Europe -- the volume was perfect too. You could hear the music but it didn't interfere with conversation at all! Service was prompt and curteous but not rushed. Our server explained how long to cook each selection and offered great tips on the dipping sauces.

It was romantic as well as a fun dinning experience. We thought that the tray of seafood and vegetables wouldn't fill us up but by the end of our meal we were stuffed. Now I'm in my late 40s and had not been back in some time, but the price for the International went from $29.99 pp to $49.99 pp. It was always an expensive night out, but wow. Over the top now. I requested to be close to the live music (which is a single guy who plays great classical guitar). We were seated right next to the music which was fantastic.
The food was great, and the wait staff was very attentive. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was a great experience. The restaurant is dim lit, cozy and romantic. Some places are darker than others but no worry, they give you a little flashlight if you need it :) Our server Leah was very helpful and attentive to everything we needed and explained everything very well, and since this was our first time eating fondue it was much appreciated. You also have an expert guitar player through out the whole time setting the mood just right.
The place IS pricey but you cant really put a price on good food, service, and a great time. We were engaged there 23 years ago and have visited several times a year since then. Service was ok from our server except for him not ever coming back to check on our sauces even though I was trying to get his attention. Two women were seated next to us and continually had someone at their table - mostly several different 'busboys'. They were asked, 'do you need more cheese? more fruit? more water? more coffee? and so on. That is fine and I get it as I was also single once.
