used to eat here many years ago and decided to give it a try again. I ordered the grilled double cut lamb chops which arrived as a fatty, grisley mess. Sent them back and received a second plate of tasteless vegetables while i waited. Second batch came out with 3 inedible riblets and a small piece of loin which was fairly tasty and tender. Mgt apologized but only compensation was the vegetables which i got with dinner anyway. No offer of a drink or desseet. Salads were fine. Steamed mussels adequate. Whole experience was blah.

I've been to Gavi many times. The food and service are consistently very good. If you love Italian food, served by real Italian waiters, then Gavi is a restaurant you must try.

Gavi is a casual restaurant with good food. It's reasonably priced. I have only been there for dinner, but I suspect lunch is good there too.
The wait staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is nice. it's a little "old fashioned" in the sense that it has not been remodeled into one of these new she she restaurants. We love it there!

The service was outstanding, water glasses were refilled, soft drinks as well. Food was brought out quickly and was hot. The appetizers were very good, but the main courses were just average. Also, there was a noisy party of 6 right next to us and it made our evening less enjoyable.
