Had the chefs cheese selection was phenomenal! Each cheese was paired with a sauce/condiment that worked wonderfully. I ended up buying two of the sauces at the end of the night, the Truffle Lavendar Honey and the Garlic Dulce de Lechi. The Goat Bolognese was savory and delicious.
We split the Spring Verrine for dessert. An intersting flavor profile with the basil mousse.

The food was delicious and it's great that the wine store is connected to the restaurant. I had tha pasta special which was small but it was a good portion size. We split a salad and then each had out own entrees. We liked everything we ordered. It started getting crowded but we didn't feel rushed out when we were lingering to finish our wine.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner choiceFirst trip to Philly- this restaurant offered wonderful food, great service and a lively ambiance. We shared a goat cheese and pesto appetizer that was delicious. My husband had fusilli carbonara that was really rich and satisfying. I had pasta with clams - the seafood was flavorful and substantial, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The bread was amazing, too. We were too full to try dessert but the menu was very nice. Amazing flavored oils, house fresh mozzarella is actually insanely delicious. Service was also fantastic out waitress was professional without being robotic and the gentlemen behind the cheese counter was very patient with my choosy friends and me. This was a first-time visit (with young kids in tow) and we will definitely go back. The food was delicious (perfectly prepared), the service was terrific and the ambience appealing. They accommodated our kids with grilled cheese sandwiches made to order. We bought some wine from the shop attached and got to it. We decided on the "sharing is caring" dining approach and split a few small plates, pizzas and desserts.
Our server Jenn was prompt, personable and had a great knowledge of the menu. We were mised in between each course and when dinner service was at it's peak the Manager Brandon took the time to ask us how everything was up to that point and opened our second bottle for us. Always nice to see management engaging guests with sincerity (it seems a lost art) and makes you feel better about the overall experience.

It was the first time for all of us at any of the Garces restaurants, and we had a wonderful experience. We chose the tasting menu, which is a great way for first-timers to try out many of the restaurant's signature plates. Stand-outs were the cheese plate, the scallops, the cod balls, and the vegetable dishes, including the beets, cauliflower and brussel sprouts. We asked for a quieter table when making the Open Table reservation, and our request was honored. Service was the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable servers who were not obtrusive. She has the White Sangria which wasn't sweet enough for me so I had the Riesling upon the waiters recommendation. The cauliflower appetizer was to die for and the brussel sprouts are making my mouth water right now just thinking about them. I ordered a soup which Id didn't realize had Scallops in it (whoops! I don't eat seafood) but I gave those to my "date" and I enjoyed the creamy, bacony goodness in the rest of the bowl. We shared a pizza which truthfully should have its own name because calling it a "pizza" is a crime. It's so decadent and fresh--definitely has more of a "flatbread" likeness but whatever you want to call it--IT'S DELICIOUS!3/4/2013 12:00:00 AMReally Terrific!This was an excellent lunch/brunch from start to finish! The server was really attentive and friendly and efficient. The food was excellent -- they have a wonderful cheese selection plus they make their own charcuterie and their own bread! The chocolate cake for two is unbelievable -- not too heavy and has a bit of crunchy crumbles that have a slightly saltiness to them. First course selected was the pasta and fagioli soup, second course had the sauteed cod with pine nuts, and for dessert chose their smoked chocolate torte with salted caramel mousse, chocolate chantilly, and cocoa nibs.
