Only a 10 minute walk from our hotel at the convention center they have perhaps one of the best cheese and cured meat selections weve ever seen in a restaurant. What makes this place unique is they are also a market where almost everything they serve is available to purchase and take home including their cheeses, meats, dipping sauces and olive oils/vinegars. The service was excellent as was the food. We tried their speciality hangar steak paired with their suggested wine for the dish. The steak was tender and juicy, the potatoes were tasty and the wine matched nicely. The variety of cheeses and charcuterie is amazing, the pizzas are baked to perfection and all ingredients are top quality.
The relation between price and quality is terrific and the portions are quite satisfying.
My only complaint is that the macaroons were really bad.. Hard, dry, tasteless.. We did the Chef's Tasting. It was delicious. We had someone with a shell fish allergy and they accommodated us with extra protein in another dish. We were also celebrating 2 birthdays and they pulled off desserts with candles really well. The food was delicious and it's great that the wine store is connected to the restaurant. I had tha pasta special which was small but it was a good portion size. We split a salad and then each had out own entrees. We liked everything we ordered. We shared a goat cheese and pesto appetizer that was delicious. My husband had fusilli carbonara that was really rich and satisfying. I had pasta with clams - the seafood was flavorful and substantial, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The bread was amazing, too. We were too full to try dessert but the menu was very nice. While we may not have seen the chef the experience was great. We stopped in during the "Limited Lunch" menu, but don't let the title stop you. We bought some wine from the shop attached and got to it. We decided on the "sharing is caring" dining approach and split a few small plates, pizzas and desserts.
Our server Jenn was prompt, personable and had a great knowledge of the menu. We were mised in between each course and when dinner service was at it's peak the Manager Brandon took the time to ask us how everything was up to that point and opened our second bottle for us. Always nice to see management engaging guests with sincerity (it seems a lost art) and makes you feel better about the overall experience.

It was the first time for all of us at any of the Garces restaurants, and we had a wonderful experience. We chose the tasting menu, which is a great way for first-timers to try out many of the restaurant's signature plates. Stand-outs were the cheese plate, the scallops, the cod balls, and the vegetable dishes, including the beets, cauliflower and brussel sprouts. We asked for a quieter table when making the Open Table reservation, and our request was honored. Service was the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable servers who were not obtrusive.
