I was surprised at the size of the appetizer we had - the calamari could be a meal in itself, the Cesar [it's named for a 19th Century chef, not one of the Caesars] was also huge. The entree was certainly ample, as well.

I chose Gandy Dancer to celebrate my daughter's senior violin recital at the University of Michigan with 9 family members and friends. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. The food was very delicious and prepared extremely well. And the historic setting of the old railroad depot was the icing on the cake. Everyone had a very positive experience. I strongly recommend Gandy Dancer for a special occasion!

The Gandy Dancer is an Ann Arbor treasure, with marvelous food, excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. We arrived for an early dinner, and enjoyed our two entrees. Both of us had fish, and they were prepared perfectly. While the prices are a little rich for our middle-class income, we always enjoy eating at the Gandy Dancer on those special occasions. We will continue to do so in the future.

This is my second time to Gandy Dancer. Each time has been fantastic. The brunch was excellent and I can't wait to return again. Even though it was pretty crowd, we did not stand in long lines to get food.
