   I was planning a dinner with a visitor from Chicago- a real fan of Chicago steaks. So I knew Gallagher was my steakhouse of choice. At the last minute he asked if we could add a third diner. It was a Wednesday and between post matinee and pre-evening curtain I was doubtful. But I called and the hostess was so helpful and accommodating that it took Gallagher to the top of my list. (By the way, my Chicago friend conceded that his steak was better than any he had in Chicago) Thank you

   We split the NY strip, the jumbo shrimp cocktail, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. The bacon bits on the wedge!!!! Alberto and Harry took care of us; such polite gentleman.

   Our two waiters were EXCEPTIONAL. Very accommodating and kind. The food was great. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I would definitely go here again!! Thanks Gallagher’s!!!

   Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Great service, fantastic atmosphere and amazing food. In fact I have never had a better steak. The lovely touch of remembering it was our anniversary made it even more special. Thanks to all the team for helping make our 30th Anniversary celebrations even more special.

   We went for lunch, we sat down around 1:40 pm. One waiter brought the sparkling water and bread. That was fine, but we sat and kept waiting and no menu. So we waited some more until we finally had to ask for a menu. So then that waiter took our order and we asked for two glasses of wine. 15 minutes later still no wine. So we called him again and asked him where were our drinks . He finally went and got them. After that, he took our order, then we sat and talked for a while. And it took at least 30 to 45 minutes more to get our order. We watched as other tables got their orders and were already about to leave, and they had arrived after us . We finally ate and asked for the bill. We waited, but he forgot to get the bill. we had to ask another waiter for the bill. Our waiter gave us terrible service. I don’t think I’ll be going back. By the time we were done, it was 4:15 PM. That’s almost 3 hours for lunch. It’s a good thing that we were not in a hurry to go anywhere or go back to work.

   Had lunch here at the bar counter and it was quite an experience. The food was terrific, the bartenders very helpful and fun.

    Food was not as good as we expected, I felt it was much cheaper quality than the price attached. Would not be likely to recommend to someone visiting New York. Disappointed to say this as we had quite high hopes for Gallaghers Steakhouse.
