The first Gallagher's opened in Manhattan, when Helen Gallagher, a former Ziegfeld Girl, & her husband, Jack Solomon, opened their dining room in 1927. Gallagher's Atlantic City has retained elements of the original.… Dark cherry hardwood floors & paneled walls complement the dark leather booths. "Gary the bartender was also our waiter since it was a quiet Monday night and he was excelent we had a good time and great conversation, I would recomend Gallaghers without hesitation. My wike had the King Crab legs and I had the Ahi Tuna both were very good and we had a reasonable red-BV Coastal which did not over power either. For a starter I had six very good oysters, present nicely."

"Steaks were fantastic, service was great. Highly recommend if you are looking for some quality meats cooked well. One of the steaks was overcooked slightly, the chef/staff had a new one out promptly and fixed perfectly."

"Fantastic. This was for a special Birthday dinner for 2. I am very familiar with the original restaurant in NYC, and the Atlantic City restaurant is every bit as good. My special note entered with Open Table was recognized by the hostess, by requesting booth seating, and that it was a special occasion. Wait staff were very attentive. My partner asked our waiter about a great looking dessert that was delivered to a near by table. Next thing we noticed was a candle on the same dessert delivered to our table in honor of my partners birthday!"

"Made reservations for had a party of 15 at 8:00 Saturday night as part of a bachelor party. Cuisine was very solid steak house fare; nice portion sizes. None of the guys had a problem finding something that they liked. All of the steaks were cooked to the proper temperature. Staff was very patient even when I kept changing the the number of people in my party and the time for the reservation. Service was attentive but a bit slower than I would have liked."

"My husband and I made reservations at Gallagher's for restaurant week in Atlantic City. I confused the time that I made the reservation for and we arrived an hour early. The hostess was very kind and said she could get us a table in about 20 mins. We decided to sit at the bar and have drinks. The bartender and the manager who were at the bar were wonderful! When we got to our table we ordered off of the restaurant week menu and we suddenly became second class citizens to the waiter. Our drinks were only refilled once and while he offered other tables fresh ground pepper on their salads and main courses, he never stopped at our table. The food was great and when I did mention our service issues to the manager he offered sincere apologies!"
