  • "I stumbled on this one for my anniversary get-away to Santa Fe. We were both delighted with the food, wine, waitstaff, and general ambiance. The owners are very hands-on and friendly. The duck breast was awesome, Redfish Etouffe really worked, and the scallop ceviche was a nice new expereince. THis was our forst visit, but it will not be our last."

  • "So I dined at the Galisteo Bistro for the second time bringing my clients!! Boy were they impressed!!! We started off with the squash Flan "Delectable" as well as the BEST Crab Cakes any of us have ever had!! For dinner we all got something different and the Duck was cooked and tasted Amazing!! I personally had the Fillet, which was called some like the Toranado's...well lets just say I only used my Fork, Beautifully seasoned as well. The place was buzzing and everyone seemed so attentive and friendly! This is I think the best place for dinner in Santa Fe!! We love it here and Brant the owner and his Gran Son Allen the head Chef...Yes and he's only 22....Are making a mark on this town for years to come! Thanks for the wonderful times...."

I was served a bottle of wine that was "corked" and the proprietor personally came to our table to offer up several replacement suggestions (evening giving me some tastings of various wines).   • "Really great experience from the moment we entered to our departure. The staff makes you feel so welcome! We had red fish étouffée and beef tournedos. Melt in your mouth good. I have to say the steak was juicier & tastier than a recent experience at Geronimos's! Dessert was awesome. My husband wanted to share but he had to order his own, it was that good! Called Mud Puddle. Don't walk, run to this restaurant!"

  • "We made reservations for a Saturday evening as they were very busy. The restaurant was so busy when we areived that we had to wait a few minutes for our table. The hostess was very apologetic and offered a nice glass of prosecco. That was a nice surprise. I ordered the beet salad with prociutto and goat cheese followed by a polenta dish smothered in sausage. My sister ordered a salad accompanied by a savory slice of cheesecake and a dish of gnocchi primavera. Everything was delicious, but the stand out was the gnocchi. The sauce was light, and creamy which complemented the slightly sweet gnocchi. The meal was the best that we experienced during our stay in Santa Fe."

  • "I booked this reservation based on reviews and I was making a trip to Santa Fe from Denver. When I arrived in Santa Fe, I heard the restaurant was under new ownership. I was worried since I had made the reservation based on reviews from several months ago. When we arrived, Brant the owner, graciously greeted us at the door and we were a bit early and he offered us each a glass of Proseco while we waited (briefly) for our table. The wait staff was prompt and courteous and I ordered the Venison tenderloin and my friend ordered the lamb shank. The tenderloin was very good, and the lamb was terrific. Dinner was delightful and the owners and staff were friendly, gracious and very welcoming. Thank you!"

  • "We had a less than satisfactory experience at this Bistro. The atmosphere was tense and hyper. Our waiter was curt and unwelcoming. One person in our party of 3 received the wrong entree. We do not recommend this restaurant and will not return. The host never apologized for the mistake in order, nor for the rude service. They need to consider that many people, ourselves included, are long time visitors to Santa."

  • "The food at Galisteo Bistro was superb. I had steak and my partner had eggplant parmesan. My steak was done perfectly and my partner's eggplant parmesan was an tasty and very light. But as wonderful as the food was the service was just as great. Our waiter Ben was very knowledgeable about the food and how it was prepared and was able to assist us in selecting a wine that was perfect for both our meals. But in addition to our waiter, Heather who was a server delivered the food expertly and with such a friendly attitude that even though we were only in Santa Fe for four days we went back for a second meal two days later. The food and service were just as good if not better. I heartily recommend Galisteo Bistro!!!!"

  • "I wasn't sure about this place given a few of the recent 2-3 star reviews; but I decided that the overwhelming positive reviews made it worth a shot. All I can say is the negative reviews are WRONG - or written by the competition or those with no palate. From the moment I entered I was greeted warmly ( later I found it was by the owner), my waiter Luis was spectacular, offering bottled water and some of the best fresh homemade bread and olive oil. The chef has this place humming; the venison tartar was spectacular, the seafood dishes fresh and divine in taste and presentation. The place gets busy fast and is not that big, but the energy level, the delectable food and the service is worth it.One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe"

  • "We are long time customers of Galisteo Bistro and were a little apprehensive when we arrived for dinner to find the restaurant had changed hands. Many of the staff have remained but ownership has transitioned. Not to worry, Galisteo Bistro is as good as, if not better, than it always was. The new owners have kept much of the same menu while introducing new items as "this evening's specials. The night we dined there were 5 of them and we selected two different fish specials. Both were marvelous. The wine list continues to be broad and attractively priced. Service and timing were both spot on. We will continue to be regular customers and we recommend Galisteo Bistro to all visitors."

  • "The food was fabulous. Our waiter, Ben, was equally amazing. He was very attentive, friendly and knowledgable. I had the snapper with a veracruz sauce and my s.o. had the seafood stew. Both of our meals were delicious! We then split the "Decadence" for dessert - yum!! The tables are in close proximity to your neighbors, so if you want a more intimate, private setting this may not be the place for you. We will return here on our next visit to Santa Fe!! Make sure to make a reservation for dinner."

  • "The chef and staff know what they are doing. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, but not before being warmly welcomed. Our meals were beautifully presented and expertly prepared; what a delight to have a chef with such a creative flair. The dishes were tastefully simple without being overly sauced and seasoned just right so as to bring out the natural goodness. The braised lamb was outstanding, and I don't eat lamb too often for fear it will be ruined. So, a big thumbs up to the chef and staff. The service was great. However, the notice level was obstructive to where we could hear the conversations of neighboring tables. I am not sure what could be done for that but otherwise we will return."

  • "This is a smallish restaurant where the tables share space with the kitchen. Most of the two tops are very close together, so expect to be part of the neighboring tables conversation whether you want to be or not. Ordinary conversation is difficult when the restaurant is filled at peak dinner hours. So, go early if this is important to you. Solid menu and wine list. Food is good quality, well prepared, and attractively presented. Prices are Santa Fe."

  • "What a great fid; from the moment we sat down ad were greeted by our server everything was perfect. The wine list is the best in Santa Fe in my opinion and the menu is a refreshing change from the same old same old. We were very pleased to see the international dishes and especially the incredible fresh seafood. An added plus is the owner and chef (his son) support the local and regional farms and ranchers. Not a big place so be sure to make a reservation as this gem will be sold out!!"

  • "My husband and I both had the New Zealand venison at Galisteo Bistro when we were in Santa Fe this weekend. As we commented to the chef, we've had some of the best venison in the world while in Germany (a place well known for their preparation of game meats). The tenderness and the preparation of the venison at Galisteo Bistro was every bit as good. And the blackberry/raspberry ice cream pie with pistachios was divine (and not too sweet)."

Our waiter Ben was amazing and knows his wine knowledge and made a wonderful suggestion to the extensive wine list! They don't miss a beat in this bistro....this is our second time here and they make you feel like family! The first time it was very busy and we didn't have a reservation. "Which I recommend" so we sat at the window and actually we just loved it! All the food was wonderful and can't wait till our friends come so they too can share our experience. ps...Save room for their wonderful dessert's!"
