The chicken parm was a BIG serving and delicious, 3 of the 5 of us asked for a doggie bag! Our server was friendly and seemed really rushed with lots of tables to take care of. But there really is no need for something new to say -- Gale's is hands down the best restaurant in Pasadena, period, end of story. And to make it even better, the prices are quite reasonable for high end Northern Italian cuisine served in a casually elegant atmosphere. My wife and I love the wine list, there is something for everyone and the prices are extraordinarily fair. Each time you walk in they appreciate your business. We discovered Gale's seven years ago after reading about it in the food section of the LA Times. The article recommended the tomato, pesto and feta cheese pizza. Every time we come we try something different and we are never disappointed.

On a recent early dinner, we had two different pastas and both were excellent. I had a crab and shrimp stuffed tortelli, and my wife a corn ravioli with fresh vegetables. We started the dinner with house made meat balls with risotto. To finish, we had a tasty coconut cake slice. All in all, an excellent dinner. We were there last Sunday to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a party of seven people and each one of us loved our meals. We always enjoy dining at Gale's but this night the food seemed to be better than ever. Our waiter explained that they were training some new staff in the kitchen and this was the reason our food was taking a bit longer to come out.
