Gaetano’s is among the newest and most authentic Italian restaurants that has come to Red Bank. Our management team and chefs have trained for many years throughout Italy and here in the States in the art and flair of Italian cookery. The restaurants’ design and interior atmosphere, with an open-air kitchen and brick oven pizza, is reminiscent of the typical Italian restaurant setting throughout southern Italy.

From almost every seat in our dining room you are able to see first-hand and also enjoy the hustle and bustle of our top notch kitchen staff at work. It is our relentless goal to bring the finest and most authentic Italian cuisine available to Red Bank. We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • "Recently went with my mother and sons for my mother's birthday. Everyone loved their appetizers, especially the eggplant rolotini. I had the salmon for dinner which was very good, my mom had the Tilapia which was she did not enjoy. The tiramisu made up for it."

  • "The food itself was good. Many of us did a preset menu with salad, entree, & desert. The service, however, was horrible. The restaurant was full & there were only 3 servers. She was clearly overwhelmed & food came out late,wrong,& people were eating courses when others were not. It ruined the entire experience. We had to remind her about bringing out a drink 4 times before it finally arrived an hr into the meal. When it was time for desert, we asked her to take it to go due to the ridiculous wait times & she got upset with us after bringing the wrong one (I had just reminded her of the order). No one comp'ed anything-no one apologized. There was no manager in sight. I don't believe I would return because of this- especially on a busy night."

  • "I had heard from a friend that Gaetano's was a good place to dine. Not so! The food was not hot when it arrived and our waiter was barely visible all night long. I tried to find him several times and he must have left for a break. Our broccoli rabe was seasoned with so much hot pepper that I could not even taste it. The menu did not indicate that this was a spicy dish. I requested my pasta al dente and it was mushy. I also asked it served in oil and garlic but it arrived in a soupy creamy sauce. When our waiter finally appeared, he offered to clear our dishes and never asked why we hardly touched our meals. I have gotten better service and hotter food at Pizza Hut."

  • "We've been to Gaetanos a few times and always a great experience. The bread is amazing, as well as the linguine with clams, pizzas and dinner specials. W always pick up some of their house olive oil and other goodies in the marketplace. Highly recommend for any occasion!"

  • "We received a gift card to Gaetano's and decided to use it before Holiday Express. I made a reservation on Open Table which made it very easy. The hostess and server were very friendly. . When we told our server that we had time constraints he was very considerate about getting us out on time. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Gaetano's might be our new favorite restaurant in Red Bank."

  • "Far too crowded because of an event in Red Bank. We were not seated for our 7:00 res until 7:20. Waited another 20 to order and the water requested for the 6 of us took 30mins! I do not think we will be going back anytime soon. When dinner was finished and dessert served the wait staff started clearing every table around us and the other 3 tables still eating. They were slow all evening and then had the nerve to rush at the end. This was not our first time there...would not return. $5bextra for gluten free pasta and then they served gluten free mussels with bread!"

  • "Great neighborhood restaurant, ample seating even for a larger group. Staff is always courteous and knowledgeable, and their homemade pasta can't be beat. Neither can their seasoned olive oil (which you can purchase to bring home, like I did, because your family will not be able to get enough of it:) I also like that it is BYOB but they do have some wines available for purchase if you forget to bring your own- the best of both worlds!"

The service is always spot on: There when you need them to be, but never pushy or trying to rush your experience. All in all, Gaetano's stands among the best Italian restaurants in the region."

  • "We came last 4 years, but won't be back again. 1. The kitchen mistakenly gave our appetizer to another table, so we had to wait for them to make it again. ok - it happens. 2. I love chicken scarpiello cut up/ on the bone. They said on the bone, but not cut up. Had him ask chef if he could cut it up. Chef said "NO, because it would be too much bone on the plate" (which is what I like) -- but would get several pieces. I asked to omit drumsticks, but loved wings/thighs. The chef agreed, but when it finally came, there were 3 breast pieces (no wings), and I was shocked to see there was NO bone at all. In a rush, so I ate it, but not happy. Our waiter, Mathew, was great, but not the chef! I'm sure he purposely omitted the bone. Nasty!!"
