After having a nice lunch experience there a few months ago, my wife and I went there for dinner. This turned out to be a bad experience for me. We shared a field green salad which was ok except for being overly sweet. My wife had pork loin which she thought was ok. I ordered red snapper, and what was delivered to the table was a bowl of what I would call succotash with two small pieces of heavily breaded fish on top. The breading was thick and rubbery as if it had been microwaved, and it was difficult to find any fish inside. After a few bites, I sent it back. The waitress insisted that I get something else, and I asked for carrot ginger soup. It was ok, but also very sweet.

The fish was slimy and the rob eye might have been frozen with a gummy gravy. Good vegetables and wine thought so I guess that's a plus. Do not order the scallops... You get two mushy, poorly cooked small scallops for $14.

Visited for lunch during Restaurant Week. Very good menu choices - dishes were from regular summer menu, and there were many choices. Food quality was quite uneven. Minestrone soup had a strange tasting broth. Heirloom tomato salad was delicious - great dressing. Entrée was most disappointing. The vegetables had good flavor and were well prepared. The breaded snapper, however, was terrible. The breading was thick and falling off, the fish portion tiny and rubbery (possibly undercooked?).

There were a lot of issues that we ran into. When we showed up the staff had difficulty getting us seated even though the restaurant was fairly empty. We got our menus but then were never provided a beer/wine menu until the waiter had time to get back to us. The staffing levels didn't seem to be an issue, but there does seem to be a lack of movement or urgency on their part. The table was very dusty and we had a few glasses replaced as they were visibly dirty. Food was ok. The lamb shanks were tough, even though they had been braised. I had the carrot ginger soup but the cream they added had a very strong almond flavoring, which overpowered the rest of the soup. Oddly enough they used the same almond cream in the berry trifle for dessert

Read the reviews before making reservations, and was unsure with the mixed reviews. We figured it was new and 6 of us decided to see how it was. The salmon was bland served in a bowl with broth (small portion). The steak was all fat, grizzle, and tough. One of the deserts was forgotten, and by the time the waitress came back to check everyone was finished (Could have at least compted the one desert). The restaurant was empty, and the service slow. Did not even carry Jim Beam (I would think a staple at most bars). Would not go again, and would not recommend to anyone!!

Admittedly it was later on a weeknight, 830 or so, we stood at the host stand for nearly 10mins before being acknowledged (poorly, by a high-school aged employee), then seated where we waited another 10mins before heading out. During that time we reviewed the menu, and particularly the wine list which has a pretty steep markup for a restaurant situated in an office park. We left and visited another local restaurant with prices more in line with its ambiance. Bottom line, this restaurant might be good, but it's lack of first impression and exaggerated marked up wine list cause us to turn on our heels. The location and the level of service do not warrant the price point.

Was excited to try this new restaurant but was greatly disappointed from the bar to the dessert and everything in between the quality and service was extremely lacking. Restaurant was not crowded so we were immediately seated. From there it took the waitress 10 minutes to come and greet us. It was a limited menu but was extremely overpriced. Although there were only 3 other tables of 3-4 diners each our meal service from beginning to end took more than 2 hours. Overall the food was not that great and totally overpriced. Then after we were given our bill and with our table somewhat cleared, the waiter came over and offer us hot bread with a piece in his tongs.

This was my second visit to Gadsby's. The first experience was not too bad, so I decided to give it another try. This second time, I had to send back my seafood risotto entree because the shrimp was not de-veined (as the waitress had described), and the risotto was almost soup-like. I doubt that I will be returning. I think that chef (who has very good credentials) needs to hire a better kitchen staff to execute his menu.

We ordered from both regular dinner menu and social hour menu -- Sweet Chili Wings and Tuna Tartare (Avocado Fondue | Grilled Bread | Horse Radish Crème Fraîche). From entree we shared one fish and chips. Then as dessert we had Warm Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream and Apple Cider Sauce. We enjoyed all of them. The service was OK -- the server was a nice guy, but looks like new and not entirely informed about the various menu options. He had to go back several times asking for each of the items we had questions. May be need to have better communications. We will definitely return and perhaps also try brunch.

I had read reviews about the service at Gadsby's but thought since it had been several months that it had been opened, I thought they would have fixed that. Well, I was wrong. We were there on a Monday night and the place was empty, yet, it took our server over 10 minutes to come to our table. Then when we each order a glass of house wine and our food, our appetizer arrived before out wine. I have never had that happen at a restaurant. I hope this restaurant can work things out so that they can get more people in and have patrons who want to return.

Creative take on classic dishes. Good seafood and steaks. Good, sometimes unusual sauces. Very attentive service. Steak was perfectly tender, but I wish it was thicker. Tuna tartare was could be more tender. Scallops were delish! House wines were delish. With a little better execution, this will be a great restaurant. I'll be back to see.

We were a bit concerned when we arrived for our 7 PM reservation and there were only a handful of other diners in the restaurant. We became even more concerned when our waitress informed us that, because the restaurant's now transitioning from its winter to its summer menu and from offering only domestic wines to offering international ones as well, the food menu was outdated and the beverage menu was nonexistent. But, as it turns out, our meals were quite good, and the drinks were good, too. If this restaurant can iron out its service kinks and get its menu together, it has the potential to be a great spot for a nice meal.

We went because we had a groupon, and were sadly disappointed. My boyfriend ordered the house mussels. He only had about half, and mentioned that they tasted fishy. I didn't think anything of this until he reached the 2nd half, and I started to smell the fishiness. I have never actually had any foul smell associated with mussels in the past. the 2nd half of the mussels never opened, which means they weren't cooked long enough. In my opinion the dish should have been comped, or drinks should have been comped but they weren't, which points to poor customer service. Although someone did apologize for the mishap, no new food was ever brought out. If they wanted repeat business something more should have been done. My meal was better, but much.

Good Experience, food selection is different and unique but tasty and the staff, particularly our waiter was very prompt and friendly. Overall it is a bit pricey but the Groupon promotions help and the atmosphere is very nice with a upscale feel. Only downside is they seem to often run out of wines and certain menu items other than that I would recommend!

Thanks Todd for an enjoyable evening at Gadsby's. It was our first try at Gadsby's and for the most part everything with the exception of bread and pasta were gluten free. The buttercut squash soup was quite good, the bbq lamb shank was tender and melted in your mouth with a bit of kick to it. Todd our waitstaff person was very accommodating but didn't hover. Everything was very well done.

We had a couple of decent meals and the service was good. The place was almost empty so we got an appropriate level of attention. It was worth what we paid as we had a groupon certificate, but it is unlikely we would find it a value for the full menu price. We had been surprised about the modest ratings that we had seen given the fanfare it had received for being a place for fine dining. We now have a better understanding of the ratings that we had seen and agree with them.

We really had mixed feelings about the food. Most of the food was good, especially the fish and chips and the crab cake (or whatever it was called). But the tuna tar-tar had a piece of plastic in it, the bread/rolls were store bought, and the berries in the berry trifle were still slightly frozen.

We went to Gadsby's for a three course dinner. The food was good- and had the potential to be excellent, but the poor service and lack of management at the restaurant ruined the experience (and some if the dishes). To start, we were served vaguely warm rolls while the waiter admitted he had pulled the out to early. Then the tuna tartare (which itself was tasty) was served with stale, toasted bread which again, had obviously been sitting out before making its way to our table. Half of the dessert menu was not available and it took 20 minutes after our dessert was finished to bring the check. This all seemed unreasonable considering there were only three tables occupied in the dining room.

This dinner was our second time at Gadsby's. We decided to have a dinner out spur of the moment and Gadsby's did not disappoint. The meal was delicious and we had time to eat and enjoy. Also, before we left, we made sure to compliment the wait staff. The staff was one of the friendliest staffs that we have encountered recently. All of the staff smiled, asked how we were, and repeatedly made sure everything was fine. It is refreshing to have a staff that seems to work together and is generally friendly and welcoming.

The night we had dinner at Gadsby's the wait staff was a little thin. The management had to make a decision...let the few waiters working be overwhelmed or allow for good service but not adhere to the reservation times promised. I believe that with so much of the staff missing, the management made the right call. Even though we had to wait so long to be seated the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I hope the issues of staffing the restaurant is resolved because I would like to come back.

There was chaos from the moment we entered the door. One young lady was on the phone, possibly taking a reservation. Two young men came to assist but could only greet us because the hostess was using the phone & computer. Once seated, the waitress was pleasant but discombobulated. She was unsure of the menu and the drinks. We placed a drink order but it took over 20min for drinks and appetizers to arrive. The drinks were made wrong, which made us conclude that it's not ALL the waitress fault. She was overly apologetic for the bar service. Ok, so we thought the food would be redemption because of the reputation of the owner. Not!! My chicken was undercooked. My husbands steak was rare (ordered medium). The other couple's lamb was dry...etc!!

I bought a Groupon based on the full menu posted on the website. When we got there, we were limited to a 4 course menu that was apparently for their Living Social customers (who had bought a different deal - mine was for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and house wine). The entree choice was limited and I ordered something that was okay, but was not really what I was planning on. It was the least not-what-I-wanted-to-eat choice on the menu. Also, I ordered a 2nd glass of wine, and they'd run out of the house merlot and subbed a Predator Zinfandel. It was AWFUL. It had a finish of BBQ chips. Way too smoky. Saw a review of it on the Corkz app and someone said he'd poured it down the drain. Just horrible. At the very least, not a good house wine.
