  • "Service was under par this time with slow service and repeated requests but everything else was great. Always a fun time and great food!"

  • "We chose Gabriel's as a site to celebrate my husband's birthday. We live in Colorado Springs and my husband's sister lives in Denver, so it was a nice in-between meeting location for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious dinner in a quiet and charming room. We started our meal with some yummy cocktails and never felt rushed or harried. Our server was also a sommelier and recommended the perfect wine to pair with all three of our dinner choices. It was a very pleasant evening indeed!"

  • "Had a wonderful evening. The service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. I like the individual appetizer and soup or salad included with the meal."

  • "Food was very good except for desert. The Pana Cotta was not very good at all. Lamb chops were excellent as was the veal. You should give it a try for something different."

  • "We hadn't been to Gabriel's in over a year, maybe more. It was very enjoyable and just what we needed for a night away. Everyone was very friendly and helpful without being over solicitous. The food choices were good. Questions were readily answered and recommendations made. The staff was wonderful. Our meal was very good."

  • "My wife and I have dined often when my availability allows. We enjoy introducing friends, old & new to this experience. Always met with a smile, handshake and welcome back from Matthew and Jan (missed them this trip). Drinks are great and suggestions readily offered and the same for special wines. Service is prompt and always with smiles or apology if a minor mistake is made. Can only suggest taking a Friday or Saturday evening and enjoy. Somewhat pricey but for us, worth the nearly 40 minute drive each way from and to home. Thanks."

  • "I have an old family friend who is basically an aunt to me. She has been a part of our family for years. I wanted to show her and my mother and sister a great night out. I have never been so impressed by a staff's attentiveness or a meal more spectacularly prepared. Our server Amedeo was so superb with his delivery and his wine knowledge that I asked him to select my meal for me. I had a few dietary restrictions but I asked him to work around those and the kitchen accommodated. Then I asked him what would be a good wine based on what we would be having for dinner. He pulled a 1993 Joseph Drouhin Musigny from the cellar that had withstood the test of time. All in all, I was impressed, but more importantly, so were my guests."

  • "I chose Gabriel's to celebrate my 60th birthday with family (party of 8). The experience couldn't have been better. Impeccable service, superb food, and a quiet cozy atmosphere that allowed us to converse and relax. Highly recommended for any special occasion!"

  • "Gabriel's was wonderful from the setting / atmosphere to the host / wait-person (very knowledgeable). We celebrated an 80th birthday, and the attendees ranged from 18 to 80 and eveyone enjoyed themselves. The food was terrific, from the perfect ribeyes, thru the lobster tail / lobster bisque and the Calamari Steak Milanese. The 3-course meal plan provided excellent choices and delicious foods (wonderful salads). Finishing with some intriguing desserts (a special assortment for the birthday-person). An outstanding time was had by all."

  • "Service is as good as it gets. Noise level much lower than other popular hot spots, so if you are interested in having a conversation, this is a great place to go. Menu is limited, but the dishes we had were excellent."

  • "This is generally a favorite. Not this time., My fish tasted like it was frozen, and the flavor was not like it usually is. I was disappointed."

  • "For the cost, it was a bit of a let down. Food was good but not great. Service was good but not great. Lighting was bright. Overall, I won't be returning."

  • "Long wait to be seated, get drinks, receive a menu, and get each course. Waited at least 1/2 hour after salad for the main course. The blamed the delays on a large party but this wasn't the first time that I experienced extremely slow service here. They really need to improve staffing. Kitchen efficiency, or stop taking reservations that they can't properly service! The food is good once you get it."

  • "fantastic dinner again!!! The steak melted in your mouth - it was so tender, only a table knife was provided and it sufficed. Staff had good balance of cordial and attentive without a feeling of being rushed or overly attentive."

  • "The food is always outstanding at Gabriel's. I had never had duck before so did not know what to expect. Gabriel's chef delivered a top notch, memorable meal. Because I am gluten intolerant I always appreciate the efforts to keep me safe while enjoying a truly delicious meal. We celebrate all of our special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc at Gabriel's and have never been disappointed. Thank you so much."

  • "We love going to Gabrielle's for special occasions. The food is fantastic and we love the Victorian house setting. Although costly, it is well worth it for romantic events like Valentine's Day and Anniversaries."

  • "Really thought this would be good after a family recommendation and reading reviews. The food was nothing special and the service was horrible. Nearly took three hours. Our waiter admitted it was his first night and proceeded to ignore us. Paid really good attention to the table right next to us though. Everyone was a lot older than us and must have been receiving preferential treament for being so. I was only asked if I wanted another drink once during dinner and it was when we ordered dessert, which we shouldn't have bothered waiting around for. The bill came out to be almost $1 a minute, so you do the math.... total disappointment."

  • "Matt gave us the (semi) private room/8, even tho he prefers it for 10. We could all hear each other! Love the ambiance of this old house! Not our first time there and we will be back! James was a great waiter, knowledgable & lots of fun! We even had him guess how to match couples for our separate bills! We know each other so well, we often don't feel a need to sit by our spouses. The food was superb for this extended DRW, tho would rather have had a different appetizer than smoked salmon. Roasted cauliflower soup was so tasty! Several of us had the beef marsala(melted in our mouths)/shrimp scampi. Though no one did, it was nice to have the option of ordering from the regular menu at a comparable price with the same appetizer, soup/salad."

  • "Our experience at Gabriel's did not disappoint us. We have been there many times for special occasions. The food is always excellent and prepared well. We were able to choose a wine that went with the food and didn't break our budget. I like eating in the old house part of the restaurant but the newer additions are very nice also. We were right by the door/window and were comfortable on a very cold night!"

  • "Very quaint place upon entering. Once seated, we were welcomed, but our drink orders weren't taken for about 10 minutes and we had to remind server to give us menus. Upon receiving our food, our experience changed from okay to poor. Unfortunately the food was not good. Our appetizer was smothered in a sauce and over cooked, the salad was okay, and our entrees were not edible. The server did offer us a gift certificate upon leaving to make up for it, which was a nice gesture."

  • "We love Gabriel's for special occasions. The atmosphere and ambiance are perfect. We dined during Restauranr Week and the menu was varied plus they offered a second menu plus specials. Their creamy vegetable soup is always the best. Our server, Amadeo, was attentive and comped our birthday dessert."

  • "The last time I was here was about 6 Years ago. The only thing I can say is they still maintain a high level of Excellency. The staff is very friendly and have great timing. I would recommend Gabriel's anytime."

  • "Lovely dinner, food was very good but what made the meal was the service. Very enjoyable evening. Our only suggestion would be to invest in a beer menu as well."

  • "We had one of the best meals ever during Restaurant week at Gabriels in 2012. This year was a big disappointment. Sword fish was nothing special. Risotto bland and nothing like the texture risotto should be. Wouldn't go back unfortunately."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "Overall the food was fine and the service was good yet it felt like an older established restaurant that could use a facelift. The food was served similar to a wedding service - all plated at once and served so it wasn't hot. The mashed potatoes were piped and stiff. The wait staff was attentive yet the front reception gentleman was a little pompous. The bar area was dated yet clean. The experience reminded me of the old Italian restaurants my father took me to in San Francisco. Lots of older guests - not very lively. Yet, the food was good not different or great. I wouldn't return especially since it's pricey and a 30 minute drive from our house."

  • "Our party of five enjoyed restaurant week, and the entire experience was very special. Waiters Jim and James teamed to provide wonderful service and the food was top-notch, as always. If you love trains, ask for table 47 - the southbound main is right outside your table ! When you arrive the greeting you receive is genuine - they are really glad to see you and the friendliness never stops. This is truly is a special restaurant."

  • "We chose Gabriel's for celebrating our 44th anniversary. The wait staff were superb. Friendly and being themselves not forced. They sort of shared our celebration which enhanced the occasion. I really liked being in a quieter room with only 3 tables. The cream of mushroom soup was the very best I've had. After her first bite of the lamb chops my wife just sat back and smiled for several minutes. The pace was relaxed which added to our enjoyment."

  • "The Ambiance was great and the food was amazing. We were there for 5280 restaurant week, so it got busy all of a sudden causing the service to be a little slow. Prior to getting busy, the service was impeccable. Will be back again during the summer, as it looked like they have an awesome patio to sit out and enjoy dinner on."

  • "As usual, Gabriel's lived up to its deservedly high marks and reputation. We were greeted graciously and, indeed, treated very graciously throughout the evening. Service was prompt, wine choices were select, and entrees so tempting it was almost too hard to choose just one. Unprinted, this night's special was swordfish with lobster sauce. Seldom offered at restaurants, most of our group enjoyed this delicacy. I cannot find fault with anything; this evening was superb."

  • "This is our first time at Gabriel's. We loved it! The food, service, and ambiance were all incredible! When we were leaving, the owners personally greated us and struck up a very nice conversation. We'll be vsiting there often!"
