Mondays can be a bit crowded because of half-priced entrees, other nights are quiet. We have gone for special occassions, and just cause we felt like going, we have never been disappointed. The Pan Roasted Salmon was prepared to perfection - don't know how the chef did it, but kudo's. Cucumber/Crab/Mango salad accompanying the fish was unique and quite good. My wife rarely send compliments to the chef. This time she did.
Service was friendly. Had a party of five for dinner. Service was excellent. Beef tenderloin special was perfectly cooked and delicious. Martinis are very good as are all the cocktails they serve. Interesting and diverse menu. A sophisticated and relaxing evening out with well prepared food, elegantly presented. We run a B&B in the area and have Gabrielle's on our recommended restaurant list. I was with some older people, with vision difficulties, and it was a little too dimmly lit in the restaurant for us--but I am sure it was fine for most diners. Salads were delicious and generous The fried oysters were crispy and plump and juicy, mussels were delicious in a typical spicy Mediterranean type broth.the pizza had a generous amount of sausage and ricotta(!) cheese. The crab tortolini were disappointing as the stuffing was bready and didn't taste much like crab. It's probably good that there were a scant 3 of them. The other portions were very generous. The food is always delicious and so beautifully presented. Our waiter, Edgar, was attentive with an added great sense of humor.
We invited our family to join us and they said they too would come again. It is so relaxing to know that we are not rushed, yet served in a timely fashion so that we can attend our theater production in plenty of time. Anyone looking for a great place to eat should definitely not overlook this great spot. ENJOY!
