gem of Panama CityAbsolutely superb in every way; who would dream you could be like "in the garden" right in the midst of traffic on 23rd Street? We love Bonefish but G.Foleys rates higher with us as it is more personal and we DID feel part of a new family. Know George from his Outback days and he is one fine man that knows how to put together great food with a flare and personable staff. You won't be sorry if you patronize G. Foleys I can assure you! Everything 5*****!
PS We live here and will be back for sure!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHello/Goodby special occasion...one family member was on the way in town, another on the way out - we'd have only one dinner together so decided to have it here! We shared ahi tuna and green tomato bruchetta appetizers, and each had a different entree - oh, and two cups of lobster bisque! We were too full for dessert! Food was delicious and just the right amount of attention from our server. And my better half said one of the best margaritas he had ever had! Absolutely nothing to complain about!!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMsatisfying experienceOverall experience was definitely satisfying. Excellent servers, good variety of entrees, the finest prime rib that we have ever had. The outside seating is very pleasant and the musician playing really added to the experience.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AM23rd Street's Hidden SecretG. Foley's is on the beach side of 23rd just west of Beck Avenue, you don't see it if you're a mall shopper on the east end. You're missing a great night out if you've never tried G. Foley's. First, go to the website and get a feel for where the owner, George, and his staff is coming from. Ambiance is teriffic. From the well done dinning rooms off the front door to the outdoor deck behind the restaurant. We sat on the enclosed patio, but with all of the double French doors open it was like sitting outside with the air conditioner running. If you get real lucky, Angie will be your server. No disrepect for the other wait-staff, it's just that she is great. BTW, FOOD IS WONDERFUL!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA Wonderful ExperienceG. Foley's is a wonderful place that should be experienced by everyone and often. The food is well prepared and delightful. The menu is varied, with the seafood you would expect in a Gulf shore resort and numerous items from the grill for those who do not prefer seafood. The wait staff is personable and attentive, without being intrusive. The ambiance is elegant, without being stuffy or stiff; casual elegance. Perfect place for that special occasion or just to celebrate that it is today. One of the very best restaurants in the Panama City area. Don't miss it!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in Panama City!I thought we were being treated as special guests when staff opened a side gate and let us into the restaurant, but then we were lost in the maze, trying to find the hostess stand. When finally found, we were the only ones. No hostess. After a lengthy time a server came up and told us,"She will be right with you". Still, we waited.
We did finally get seated and our server talked to us about the menu. The chef came to our table and explained what he could fix for my wife who needed a gluten free experience. He was great! Now we were ready to order; where was the server?
Nevertheless, we finally got our food; the best that we had in 2 weeks of Fla. travel. I would go back in a heart beat! Super grilled shrimp and grouper.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFine Dining in PCThis young chef has hit the mark with his creations. The lobster bisque is the best I've ever eaten and I've sampled a few at some pricey restaurants. This is the fine dining restaurant Panama City has been lacking for years. Now I don't have to drive across the bridge to get excellent food anymore. Staff is friendly and welcoming and service was efficient. Great bar selections as well.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPanama City Fine DiningG Foley's is Panama City's answer to fine dining. We have been there on numerous occasions and have had wonderful experiences. The service and atmosphere is second to none, everyone there treats you as if you are a VIP. The food is excellent and the presentation is very appealing. One of the best things is that one does not have to drive to Seaside or Aly's Beach for fine dining. A dining experience at G Foley's as good if not better then along Hwy.30A. For price and quality of food you can't go wrong. If you have a special occasion or just want a nice night out this is the place to go.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favorite restaurant inOur favorite restaurant in Bay County.
