We were going Friday through Sunday. We kept hearing about restaurants we should eat at and most of the popular hot restaurants we should check out. In doing my research I kept coming across this restaurant Fume but nobody heard of it so we were a bit skeptical. Well we ate here and it was fantastic. I would say it was up there with mustards and the service was 10x better than bottega. It actually turned out to be a combination of breakfast and lunch ordered off the menu. We were expecting a brunch, but that was only a minor surprise. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The restaurant does have a patio for outdoor dining. Nothing like that was on the menu. There was a pricey salmon entree and the salads sounded good but were meatless. So I told the waitress what I wanted and she said, "No problem, we do that all the time." So I got what I wanted and the charge for the added salmon was very reasonable. The glass of wine was also a good size serving. We were sat in the dining room at two tables put together, it was a little cramped. They seated us 30 minutes late however it is a smaller sized restaurant and the hostess sent over apps to make up for the delay, it worked! The food was amazing; I had the short ribs and risotto. Everyone's dish was delicious! We shared the ahi tuna app and it was tasty and perfectly cooked. We each had the salmon for our entree and it may be the best I have ever had. One of our guest had the fish and went crazy talking about how wonderful it was. My husband and I had the steak, which was perfectly cooked. We wanted dessert but our guests couldn't go for it, too full. Next time I will stay away from the first course and we can enjoy the chocolate sundae!
