  • "My friend and I had a delightful dinner in our neighborhood at Fulton. Our server was very attentive and gave us good advice when we asked for it. We shared everything, from a fresh octopus appetizer to savory lobster pot pie and generously portioned soft shell crabs. Our wines, an albarino and a prosecco, were delicious. We appreciated never having to ask to have our water glasses refilled or to have to flag down someone for something extra because all the staff came by from time to time to make sure we had what we needed. It was a very warm evening, but the restaurant was comfortably air-conditioned, not so cold that I needed to put on the sweater that I had brought along."

  • "Just dined there on Father's Day. Our group was six adults, an active toddler in a high chair and an infant in a stroller. The staff was wonderful and tried very hard to be accomodating. For example, our server asked if we wanted to order for the toddler first and then brought her food out very quickly. Food was very good and everyone was happy with their meal. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience. I only wished that we could have sat outside but they sadly do not take large groups."

  • "The menu was intriguing -- there were many dishes I would have liked to try. I loved the arctic char with peas, mushrooms, and pea shoots that I chose. We ordered our wine by the glass -- one sauvignon blanc and one French chardonnay -- and each tried the other's and they were both excellent: lovely bouquet and complex flavors. Our reservation was at 6:15 and the restaurant was lively but not noisy."

  • "We had a disappointing experience with the reservation. After making the OPen Tabler reservation, we called to reserve a specific table for our 6 PM reservation. When we got there there were only 2 table in use and one was the table we had reserved. When we complained the hostess, in a not particularly pleasant way, said that someone may have given the table away while she was busy. No apology. In her view we were at fault for asking for a specific table and upsetting her practice."

  • "We'd expect the seafood to be good; after all, Fulton's is a child of Citarella. It is also a very comfortable place for a long lunch with friends. Partly though because it isn't very full. We come often, and only a couple of times have more than a third of the tables been taken. My greatest worry is that, with so few customers, it will close. Which would be a great loss to the neighborhood."

  • "We requested a quiet table against the back wall as my husband is hard of hearing. Told they could not promise a specific table but would try their best to fill our request. On arrival, no empty tables against the back wall so we were given a side table which was very noisy. We requested another table in a semi-alcove and were told, despite repeated requests, that the area was being held for 2 parties of 2. We were still denied a move despite our tables being also able to handle 2 parties of 2 and there being many empty tables in the restaurant. Finally after our many requests, we were moved to the alcove. When leaving amid many empty tables, were told by the manager that the requested was very complicated for them to meet???"

  • "My husband and I prefer seafood restaurants and we need more of these on the upper east side. I ordered the octopus, but was a little disappointed. It was just broiled. It needed some kind of sauce so I dunked it in the amazing olive oil they served with the bread. That did the trick. I had the salmon and again felt it needed something. I did like the side chourizo salad. We also shared the lobster hash. That was amazing. I can't remember what my husband ordered because he devoured his food. He had no complaints. The service was the best I have ever had."

  • "Loved the ambience (quiet on a Thurs afternoon) and the waiter was a doll. The arugula salad was so good that I tried to recreate it at home for dinner the same night. My friend's octopus appetizer was far better than one I had the night before which had cost $2 more than my entire three course lunch at Fulton! The pecan caramel cake dessert was delicious. The only reason I didn't give five full stars is that I didn't feel the sauce on the skate main course really complimented the fish and the bus boy (bus person?) was not really very attentive to our needs. He just needed to pay a bit more attention to what was going on at our table - empty glasses etc. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend Fulton as a good place to go for fish."

  • "I came here for Restaurant Week with one of my best friends. We chose this restaurant based on the fact that it was a place that neither one of us had tried, AND it had AT LEAST 4 Stars on Yelp. After dining here, it's very easy to see how they earned those stars. From beginning to end, the service was impeccable. They were quick, often returning to ask how everything was going, and the food was delicious!! I had the Steamed Mussels as an appetizer, the Shrimp & Pesto Pasta for my entree, and Pecan Pie for dessert. It's weird, because I'm not normally a fan of pecan pie, but theirs is DELICIOUS!!! And then on our way out, the hostess gave us cookies! Such an awesome cute little touch to end the evening. Definitely worth the trip!!!"

  • "Celebrating our anniversary and taking advantage of Restaurant Week, off we went to Fulton. The food was delicious and fresh -- and the whole fish was a good value. We would definitely go back for an occasion (a little pricey for your basic night out). Only issue was that the service was a bit lackadaisical. Water glass went un-refilled; took a long time to pay check; coffee arrived cold (after compromising because the espresso machine was broken). Servers were gathered by the computer in the back talking to each other rather than paying attention to customers, especially later in the evening. But, on the whole, a good experience!"

  • "We made a reservation for four. The service was very attentive. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. The mussels appetizer were midsize tender and delicious and they were given a wonderful flavor by the marinara sauce . We had entrees of skate wing and others had pan seared tuna fish. They were perfectly cooked to the delight of everyone. All was paired with a nice Sangiovese wine. For dessert there was a delicious pecan pie. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. This is a restaurant we shall return!"
