A word from Fujiyama Sushi and Hibachi
What could be more fun than taking the entire family out to Fujiyama for this Japanese specialty where the food is grilled right before your eyes? Half of the restaurant is a dedicated hibachi dining with 8 grills. There are also two private hibachi rooms perfect for party celebrations.

If sushi and sashimi suits your palate we are one of the best choices you can make. Fresh fish arrives daily and is always made to order by master level chefs. For those customers with dietary restrictions we are proud to serve a number of low carb sushi rolls that come without rice and are wrapped in cucumber.

We ate here with 10 fmaily members. It is a great place for large group entertainment. The food quality is good - is better than other hibachi type places. We ordered a variety of menu items and were pleased with all of them. The only real negative is that the chef waited until the end to cook the veggies and I was done with my meat and rice by the time my side dish came. That seems to happen at all places like this though. Also, the "fire" fun that the chef does scared my toddler to tears but it would have gone over big for older kids.

This was not our first and definately not our last visit to Fujiyama. I do recommend that if you make a reservation on Open Table and you want to be seated at a hibachi grill that you call the restaurant so they are aware. We made a reservation for 6 and put a note in the open table reservation for the hibachi but it did not pull up with the restaurant so we had to wait about 30 add'l minutes to get seated...not a big deal since it was a Saturday night. We love the hibachi and my wife and the other company with us loved the sushi (I am not a fan of any sushi). This time we had Kai as our chef and he did a tremendous job keeping us entertained while providing great food.

My family has been to Fujiyama many times. The food has always been great. The last few times we have been there, the service was terrible. This time, in particular, the server got the order wrong (some ordered from the hibachi menu, while others ordered from the sushi menu). She completely messed up the sushi order. One diner wanted part of his sushi order out when the soup/salad came for the hibachi diners. He got nothing. The hibachi diners had their meals before any sushi came for him. The hibachi chef asked if everybody had everything they needed, and this poor guy is sitting there with NOTHING! Drinks were empty and the server could not be found. It appeared she was waiting on more tables than she could handle.

Lower energy hibachi chef than I would have expected. Young host staff seemed overwhelmed with the volume of diners. Nice for a different experience than your normal restaurant. Food was ok, but you really go for the atmosphere.

Good food ....what you would expect from an above average Japanese steakhouse. Service was good. We must have hit a night where every child in Highlands Ranch was celebrating a birthday, because it seemed as if they were turning on a disco ball and performing a group song every 15 minutes. It really wasn't what you would expect at a Japanese Steakhouse.

Had a great experience! Took my date to this location. (Neither of us had been here before) We dined in at the regular tables. Not the hibachi tables. Our waitress was prompt and polite. I ordered the Sushi regular with a side of New York Roll, Boston Roll and Miso Soup. My date ordered Chicken Teriyaki, which came with soup and salad. When the delivered the "side" rolls they brought us the New York and Philadelphia rolls. I informed our waitress of the error and she corrected it with an apology. No big deal really. The Miso soup seemed a little bland but still good and the Sushi Regular was fantastic! I also sampled the Chicken Teriyaki and it was moist and delicious. We will be going back sometime soon to experience the habachi dining.

Our visit to Fujiyama did not start well due to the hostess and manager, but ended well thanks to the fantastic service of our waitress and delicious food from our Hibachi chef. If they can fix the front end issues we had, this place would be a keeper for sure. Check out my review on Yelp for more information (since I'm character limited here).

This was our first visit, and we'll definitely be back. We were Hanabi fans but tried Fujiyama when Hanabi changed hands again. We weren't disappointed. The food was very good--just what you'd expect from a good hibachi grill. It was a bit salty, but very tasty, and entrees were in the $20-30 range instead of the $30-40 bill we were used to. That was a nice surprise! The staff was very friendly despite the fact that they were crazy busy due to it being New Years Eve.

Really awesome sushi and sashimi. It was incredibly busy for a Thursday night and as such service was a little slow. I almost got the impression that they underestimated the crowd they would have. Still, the service was very friendly and the server communicated the slowness very well and was attentive to our needs. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

Great atmosphere, wonderful chefs and staff. We had a fantastic hibachi dinner with great entertainment from our chef. The food was fantastic, they provide soup, salad, two shrimp, noodles, your choice of rice, vegetables and your entree of choice. Our group had shrimp, lobster, chicken and steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and we will definitely return.

We had eaten at the Hibachi table on an earlier visit and were pleased. Eating in the restaraunt section was very disappointing. The meat was VERY low grade. It was Christmas eve and my 89 year old mother was with us so we were looking forward to a good meal for her. Again, very disappointing.

The hibachi style of dining is great fun -- the birthday announcements, however, are comparable to Chuck E Cheeses -- kids will enjoy this place -- but may be put off by the flames that kick off the dining experience! I would have liked a cherries jubilee or flaming bananas foster to wrap up the evening!

The food excellent and the preparation on the hibachi was enternaing. It sounds cliche to say something melted in your mouth, but no other phrase describes how perfectly the scallops were done. Wish I could replicate that on my stove. All in all, a great place to bring the family for dinner.

The special "special" feature was the outstanding personalities, warmth, geniune friendliness and fun quotient of the entire staff. It was an incredibly fun place to be. And there was nothing that distracted from the fun. The place was clean, neat and tidy. The service was very. appropriately so, attentive. The food was better than found at the typical quality hibachi place. It took us only the first half hour of our 2 1/2 hour meal/stay there to say to each other that we would definitiely be coming back. And, definitely ask for Coi. Very pleased and happy customers, Jerry, Janet, Ryan and Alex

We sat in the dining area, not the Hibachi side so that may of made of difference in our review. The food was o.k., nothing to brag about but not horrible either. Our waiter didn't seem to have the time of day for us.
