What shocks le the most when I go here is that so few people are drinking Sake. They have an amazing selection of delicious Sakes that pair well with their food...which is awesome. My favorites are the red pepper bramumdi chevche and the short rib.

Our first time here. Went with a few couples. Restaurant was nearly dead when we arrived for our 7:30 reservation. Was pleasantly surprised at how great the sushi was. The rolls were very good, the ceviche also excellent! Calamari and flank steak was just ok. Short ribs and veggies were ordered were also very good. The staff was very nice. The ambiance is a bit odd. Since it's a club at night, the place itself is confusing. Is it a restaurant? Bar? Night club? There's multiple music systems going at once with different types of competing music. The concept seems muddled to me right now but the food was great and the service also good.

We have eaten here several times and I guess with a name change came with it a change in chefs. Although the menu is the same, the quality has gone down significantly. We sat at the bar upstairs and had great service by Joseph. It's a nice place, the ambience is great.

The food was fantastic, some of the best salmon I've had in a long time. Unfortunately, I think my wife and I fit into the demographic that Fujimar is looking to attract. The music was far too loud to hold any kind of normal conversation while dining, and, most offensively, walking through the tented area outside the front door was like being in a gas chamber due to all the smokers. The smell of cigarette smoke lingered well into the main area of ground floor bar and up the stairs. We don't plan on returning.

Great food, good service, nice ambiance (although a little dark for my taste). Wish their menu had more veggie small plates. There were many things I wanted to order but seemed like everything was meat and it would have been nice to get something a little lighter, since it seems like the idea is to order a few small plates. The plates I did get though were very good.

Not once, but three times, Fujimar did not have in stock items that we ordered. Worse, staff did not even KNOW that these items were sold out when we ordered! It took several minutes, once the orders were in, to let us know that they were out of these items. We ordered a cocktail that the server told us we wouldn't like. She said, "everyone always returns that drink because they don't like it." We wondered: why would a restaurant keep such a drink on their list? Decent food, but portions were small and overpriced. We would have much preferred a hole-in-the-wall for higher quality and larger portions, and certainly for more knowledgeable staff.

My husband and I had dinner at Fjuimar. WSe had a 3 course living social deal plus we ordeed a few other things. Some of hte food was outstanding and some was eh. The raw sushi is outstanding, buttery and tender. The rolls with cooked fish are not as good -- they are overwhelmed by sauce so I don't recommend those. My husband had a martini with homemade vermouth -- that waas outstanding, and the roasted brussel sprouts were also very good. The grilled calamari was perfectly cooked but the again, I thought the sauce was a little too strong for the delicate squid. We had the poached pear for dessert - delicious and beautifully presented. I would go back but I'd choose dishses carefully.

I wasn't impressed with Fujimar. Our waitress was awful. She was down right lax, simply wasn't concerned with providing good service. Also seemed very inexperienced. She handed us the dinner menu and never came back to take our order. 15 minutes later, a manager (presumably) saw our exasperated faces and took our order. It took another 15 minutes for our drink order to be fulfilled, and that only occurred because she likely over heard us complaining. I would expect better service of an Appleby's waitress, let alone a pricey restaurant like Fujimar. I presume she was hired because of her attractiveness. I ordered the Churrasco Shirashi. It came with rice that was overly spiced with a lime flavor.
