What has really improved is the friendly front desk greeting and waitstaff. Used to be a chilly reception and so-so service. Everything was fresh and delicious, prompt and attentive service.
We sometimes would leave without anyone saying thank you or goodbye (old ownership) this time 4 people said thank you AND goodbye. Everyone at the table of five ordered a bento with different combos, and with the addition of a few specialty rolls, the sashimi is always fresh and delightfully light. In true Japanese dining, the sunomono and miso soup arrived prior to the arrival of the additional plates of sushi,edamame and yakimono. I love the small portions of salad and pickled eggplant, the California rolls and the mackeral. The sabayaki skin is so crisp and the fish is so flavorful with a side of grated daikon and shoyu, I usually order double. It is just like mom would serve for dinner.
