There menu has a great variety and it is always delicious. They also have a decent drink menu and wine list. The restaurant set up is very interesting, with some private tables that have sliding doors as well as many, many rooms. There are three floors! We were sat on the third floor and it was great. The food is good and there are many interesting items on the menu, which make this place fit for foodies. However, to me the best part was friendly service and the fact that they maintain good quality through all these years. So it is not about cost of the portions but about how much you get for your $$$. If you just want good sushi, there are other places that are much better than FuGaKyu. However, overall it is still one of the best places to bring a date (you can also impress by how generous you're) or have a family celebration. In all honesty, there's nothing bad to say about the place: solid 4 stars!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for our groupWe started as a party of 12, then grew to 13, then 15, but the staff accommodated the change with no problem. Our server was very patient with the large group, several of whom weren't familiar with sushi and Japanese cuisine. The meal was delicious, as usual. They let us bring our own cake for our 8 year old's birthday celebration.

Some of us could not manage steps, so we were in the back upstairs room near the elevator, which is much quieter than the other open seating areas. We got a private rom where we could be as loud as we wanted. The food was exfellent (I just had sushi), and we had 2 servers that were on their game and very friendly. It did take a whjle for the food to come out, but I am assuming that is because we had so many people. I walked by the only her tables and they also looked very good!
