Fuel RestaurantA favoriteFuel has become my favorite restaurant in central Maine. I had the salmon which was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My husband had the scallops and he enjoyed them as we'll. we shared their awesome dusted frites as a starter so we had no room for dessert. My mother sometimes has a hard time hearing, but the waitress was excellent at making sure she heard everything. This time I tried the scallops....yum...my husband had the filet and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Instead of dessert, we opted for their dusted French fries as an appetizer. You have to try them!

Fuel provided both in understated and comfortable fashion. I had never seen chicken and waffles on a menu in Maine, let alone on a more upscale establishment's dinner menu and will verify for everyone that the chicken is good, perfectly done, but the star is the waffle. It is a bacon infused waffle and the best waffle I have had in Maine (ever).
I will also give high raves to our server as well as the escargot, the fondue for two, and the pork shank. We will return soon to try other menu items (anf desert) which all sounded tasty5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, attentive serviceWe went to Fuel for our 30th anniversay dinner and mentioned it when making our reservations. All contacts congratulated us meaning they read & disseminated our special request. Menu offerings were varied along a French theme but not overly so. I had the pork tenderloin and it was far & away the best I'd ever had, cooked just so and stuffed with the right mix of vegetable and cheese. It was served with tender roasted baby red potatoes, also delicious. My husband had the house filet and said it was excellent as were the mashed potatoes served with it. The house pinot noir was very good, well balanced and my husband's margarita was strong enough with the proper amount of salt on the rim. I find it funny that out of all of the places I have dined around the world that the restaurant that would nab the #1 through #5 slots for best meal & dining experience would be Fuel a restaurant in my home town. Always the absolute top notch experience from service through desert. Thank you Fuel & Eric Agren for bringing this gem to my home town.

The waiter suggested the tuscan wine which paired nicely. Husband had filet mignon' which he said was terrific! Dessert was a must and it did not dissapoint. Guiness choc cake, WOW!!!! I ate the smoked seafood soup which was perfectly smoked! My fellow diners said the burgers were to die for and the chocolate desserts were both lovely.
