Fuel CafeModern Place, Modern FoodFuel features great food, consistently. I have been her several times and the food is always great. It is a small, out of the way place. It features industrial modern decor in an industrial modern neighborhood. The food is really tasty and there is a hint of 'comfort' food, rather than oblique modern extremist food. Drinks are great also. This is a small place and we had a 7:45 reservation, but our table did not come up, since the previous seating took their time. The host took care of us and made us feel welcome. We stayed long and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFuel Never DisappointsWe absolutely love Fuel. The servers are wonderful, the food is amazing and it's always fun to take friends to a hidden Denver gem. The only negative thing I have to say is that when we went to make a 7pm reservation, there wasn't anything available until after 7:45pm. We showed up thinking the place would be packed and almost every seat was open! The current seasonal menu is stellar - you have to get the gnocchi! The gnocchi is so light and fluffy, I ate the entire plate and wasn't even full!!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always love Fuel. The appetizersWe always love Fuel. The appetizers were all amazing! We loved the octopus salami, the socca crepes and salad appetizer. Our entrees were fabulous as well. We were impressed they had many rose options on the wine list!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOustanding.Had a really outstanding dinner at Fuel on Friday night. They had my requested bar spot all set and I'm really glad I sat there as the entire restaurant is ran behind the bar and into the kitchen.
The Sole fish fry was a perfect starter and the pimento hush puppies are the best hushpuppies I've ever had. Upon recommendation I went with the pork tenderloin entree--divine. Possibly the most succulent pork I've ever had. So, so good. Had the rum cake for dessert, it was great but in the future I might order another pork tenderloin. Thanks Fuel Cafe team for making my trip to Denver that much more memorable.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGood for brunch!I was there for brunch on my most recent visit and with a meat-heavy menu, I was grateful that the quiche was meatless. I am a big fan of salads with breakfast, so it was a treat to have lightly dressed greens beside the giant wedge of quiche on the plate. We were there celebrating a birthday and ordered bottomless mimosas to accompany our meals and they truly were bottomless. I love the TAXI space and Fuel is a great fit there with their sustainable menu options and refurbished space. I will be back for more.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the atmosphere and extremelyLoved the atmosphere and extremely friendly staff.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food. The mushroomExcellent food. The mushroom crustini with fried egg on top was delicious. Mushrooms had a lightly spiced earthy flavor and once yoke is broken and allowed to flow over the dish it is a delight. Such unexpected delights from such a simple dish. Entres were stupendous. Especially delighted with the pork dish and all the surprising flavors associated with it. The celery puree was stupendous! This was our first visit. We will definitely return and look forward to sitting in the outside dining area.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeFuel is awesome, simple, all locally sourced. Love this place.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster Brunch was a very niceEaster Brunch was a very nice occasion. The brunch offerings were varied enough for individuals who do not have gluten tolerance issues. However, there was only one option for our party member who has gluten issues. As always, Fuel lived up to expectations and gave us a very nice way to celebrate.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI love Fuel. The staff isI love Fuel. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, and the food is incredible! The menu is always delicious and mirrors the season's freshest ingredients. There were four of us for dinner and we ordered almost one of everything, just because we HAD to taste all the delicious options!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTry the Old Fashion. The menu offers unusual foods you would not expect. So if you are in to trying something different, this is the place. It was very tasty albeit in small portions. Their Old Fashion cocktail was excellent and has cherries that have been soaked in brandy (or some spirit). It was quite an unexpected and pleasant rush of flavor.
The duck meatballs were tender and juicy. I would have expected maybe some type of flatbread to accent the creamy hummus-type sauce.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AM...four people ordering dinner...four people ordering dinner shouldn't have to ask for bread with the meal, and staff shouldn't act like they were making a exception for us. If it is a cost issue, maybe offer bread service for a buck or so - although our dinner tab was over $200. O/W a fine meal in a great location.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff here are alwaysThe staff here are always so pleasant and willing to talk through menue items. We were a group of 7 and all enjoyed themselves.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great find - 5280Another great find - 5280 encouraged me to try it!!! Food was to die for!
