Diner Reviews
  • "Fruition is such a grand place to dine. There are always surprises in each dish and they are extremely mindful of my wife's nut allergy. I started with the green garlic consumme and was blown away by the complex flavors and the little surprises in the dish. I'm not going to go into great detail here because I want you to try it. This was the star of the night for me. I also had the steak which was very good with morel mushrooms and garlic poached fingering potatos. The potatos were superb. If you want to know how a potato should taste try these. Service was as expected very good even though they had a full house. And finally the lemon poppyseed cake was the perfect finish to dinner with nice bright citrus flavors."

  • "Took my then girlfriend now fiancee to celebrate our engagement. Staff was passionate about the food. Could come back here and eat only the starters."

  • "I loved my starter, the bay scallops, however I was not crazy about the Columbia river sturgeon, I have had much tastier sturgeon in and near the Columbia river. My wife was very pleased with her asparagus starter as well as the crab stuffed filet o sole. We both enjoyed the lemon desert. This is only a place I might go on a special occasion. I am not in favor of spending that much money for dinner. I guess my taste buds are quite easily satisfied for less than half of the cost of this meal. You probably will not see me return for some years. We only came because it was our anniversary and my brother sent me a gift card to Fruition to celebrate."

  • "My husband and I went for our anniversary. He got the steak and is known to be a picky eater. He said the steak was the best he had ever eaten. I ordered the vegetarian meal and was also pleased with the flavor and quality of the food. Would highly recommend!"

  • "We were the only customers for a 5:30 weekday last minute reservation.. The room was quiet and empty; the service was quick and attentive. My wife had a salad including ramps. My appetizer of bay scallops and sweetbreads initially had no sweetbreads, which the waiter noted and corrected.. A pinot gris was thin and watery, but the waiter brought two other wines to try, The second pinot gris was Archery Summit 2012 - excellent (even at $12 a glass - the bottle was $24 at my local wine store). My wife had steak-just right. My sole stuffed with crab was excellent. We were too full for dessert, but by the time we left it was nearly 6:30 and the restaurant was filling up and becoming crowded and noisy. Go early!"

  • "Good food, good service, casual atmosphere, definitely more of a date spot than a big group kind of place."

  • "Never disappoints, always a treat, always a wonderful imaginative menu. Would like to see a bit more expansion in their wine list. I love how they don't just ignore the people waiting, very hospitable about that."

  • "Chef Alex Seidel is one of Denver's best chef's! When Fruition "bought the farm" (this is a good thing for a restaurant :-) ) Fruition got even better. The food is always amazing, and this spring menu is one of the best. I started with the Roasted Brussels sprouts and they were perfect, no bitterness at all. Then it was on to the Bavette Steak, with the best Morel Mushrooms I've ever had and, what I was really hoping for - Colorado Ramps! Wow! My partner started with the Green Garlic Consommé and it all by itself is a winner. Then tiny perfect lamb meatballs take it to another level. His main was the crab stuffed sole and we had to call the entire meal a tie - all of our courses were simple incredible!"

  • "We came to Denver for a girls trip and treated ourselves to a special restaurant to celebrate birthdays. Fruition far exceeded all of my expectations. One of the best meals ever. I know the menu changes frequently but highly recommend the starters of brussell sprouts and asparagus salad as well as the main dish of chicken (I never eat restaurant chicken but it was delicious) and duck. Don't forget dessert, lemon poppy seed cake with grapefruit to die for!!!! Perfect portion sizes and amazing service."

  • "Excellent food, excellent service. We tried quite a few items and across the board they were wonderful. And don't skip dessert, it will be worth it! Only downside is that it can be difficult to get a reservation."

  • "My wife and I were recently in Denver for a medical conference. We found Fruition on Trip Advisor and thought we would give it a try. We prefer to dine in Europe and our favorite Island of St. Martin in the Caribbean. Fruition was a VERY pleasant surprise. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals very much. There's no point in discussing what we had because the menu changes often. Suffice it to say that if you like to eat well balanced, well seasoned French Gourmet styled meals, you will be happy. If you are looking for a steak, this is not the place. The prices were very reasonable. We ate there first on a Thursday evening and returned with a friend on Sunday evening a few days later. You will not be disappointed in the food or the service."

  • "My wife and I have visited Fruition on a number of occasions, and have never been disappointed. Recently, we took several friends with us to celebrate a birthday. We were greeted like old friends, and the birthday celebrant was treated like royalty. Our server was charming and very knowledgable about pairing wine with food. To help celebrate the birthday, we were each provided with a glass of sparkling wine. We shared a delicious Brussels Sprout salad and each had wonderful entrees. Again, the birthday celebrant received a complimentary and delicious slice of lemon meringue pie. Everyone agreed that it was a wonderful experience and that we need to do it again soon."

  • "Fruition has always been on the top of our list of places to go. This time we were not "wowed" as we were in the past. Food and service is still very good but somehow lost the above and beyond description."

  • "Fruition never lets us down. The food is as good as any restaurant anywhere. We highly recommend it for a top-notch dining experience."

  • "This is our 3rd time dining at Fruition since we moved to Denver and we've loved it even more each time! We enjoy the varied menu and the staff are wonderful! Are most recent visit was for my sister's birthday and we received complementary birthday champagne while waiting for our drinks to arrive. The staff even printed "Happy Birthday!" on her menu and let her keep it as a souvenir! If you have been to Fruition you definitely need to make a point to go there and try their excellent dishes!"

  • "Stellar service and divine food. We didn't like being stuck at one of those tiny tables for two in the middle of a bunch of other tables, but otherwise, everything was fabulous!"

  • "I was really looking forward to a return trip to Fruition - it has been a long time. Purportedly "comfort food," the menu required interpretation by the waiter; he was very accommodating. The food is rich and complicated - the chef tries too hard to impress. I appreciate the small portion sizes, but others might not. The Lemon Meringue dessert was wonderful. Overall, Fruition's reputation makes this a good choice for a special occasion - your guest will be impressed. Service is unhurried and there will be no pressure to vacate your table for the next patrons. The cost for four, each with two glasses of wine, came to around $300 - so the price is right for a special occasion."

  • "Highly recommended, known to those who "know" the Denver food scene, but a little off the track if you don't live in the neighborhood or spend a lot of time around Cherry Creek. Small, fabulous good, but not truly a quiet spot for hours of romantic relaxing- the restaurant is tiny, and tables are very close together, so although the overall feel is intimate and cozy, it's not as private as some might like. The food is absolutely flawless, and the menu changes seasonally. Absolutely the best quality of food and presentation I've found in Denver. Absolutely worth the effort to find it... you won't be disappointed."

  • "Could not have been happier with our experience. My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary there and they took great care of us. The starters were terrific and the duck entree superb. Make the reservations and go enjoy a terrific evening at Fruition."

  • "Our dinner was top notch! However we did not even buy wine with our dinner which would have made it even better because frankly I just cannot afford to buy a wine that has been marked up 300 percent. This is my only pet peeve with most fancy restaurants, that they should serve a house wine that is affordable no matter how fancy they are. That being said , the food and service were impeccable, DELICIOUS! I am a hard person to impress being that I am a pretty good cook myself, but I loved every bite!"

  • "My husband and I dined early on a Sunday. Every bite was exquisite. The wine list was really small and they were out of a bunch of wines we were interested in, but our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up with a great bottle of wine (reasonably priced to boot). Dessert was on the house for my husband's birthday. Overall, we give it a 10 out of 10. Try the Nantucket Bay sea scallops. They were my fave!"

  • "Food is fantastic...service is great. The only issue is it is a very small and tight space. We sat in the middle of the room about 5 inches from the table next to us. We have been here several times and each time the food is amazing ..too bad the seating is so cramped and you can't help but hear your neighbor's conversation. Not exactly a romantic dining experience but the food makes up for it."

  • "We had a very nice, sweet waitress but I felt rushed. Every time I took a sip of wine, someone was pouring more. My friend I was dining with finished before me and right away her plate was removed. Our whole dinner took an hour and ten minutes. I realize the restaurant wanted to turn the table, but at a nice restaurant I want to savor the food and experience."

  • "In town from Kansas City and always look for the best foodie restaurant when traveling. Had an amazing review on Zagat so we had to check this place out. The food was so flavorful and the sommelier was so great, she picked out a bottle for us that wasn't even on the menu. Great experience!"

  • "I'm a junior foodie (although I'm 52 years old), so I enjoy going to nice restaurants on a pretty regular basis. I've been lucky enough to go to many great restaurants (in Paris, San Francisco, New Orleans, Washington D.C., New York, London, etc.) I have to say, however, this was the most consistent, best meal I think I've ever had! EVERYTHING was prepared to perfection (shared plates of octopus and scallops, entrees of beef and coq au vin, a lemon cake dessert, even the sourdough/wheat bread and butter were great). Fabulous wine list too - and the staff was warm and friendly. I don't know why we haven't been before, but we will definitely go every chance we get!"

  • "A wonderful culinary experience! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted marvelous... I would have to say definitely one of the best in CO for sure..... the chef is amazing. We had the pasta carbanara to start with the oyster wrapped in potatoes!! Followed by the duck ( my favorite) and the stuffed Sole, we also added on the Brussels sprouts from apps to mains..... lots of food but simply wonderful flavors and each bite was a melt in your mouth perfect taste!! Going back sooner than later. Service was spectacular too!!"

  • "This was by far our best meal in Denver. The service was impeccable and the food was unbelievable. Brussel sprout salad was the perfect starter, pork was cooked to perfection and the sole wrapped crab cake was out of this world. My husband has a milk allergy and the chef tailored each dish for him from apps to dessert. Our server made excellent wine recommendations for each course. Surprisingly affordable for a 3 course meal with wine."

  • "A group of colleagues and I ventured to Fruition during a conference in town. Service was excellent, food was excellent. It was a nice change from the downtown scene, very cozy and you felt like you could spend the night there just eating an drinking wine."

  • "I was very excited for my meal at Fruition- taking a late reservation because it was all that was available for this hot restaurant. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that the food did not meet the hype. The food was mostly good and well prepared, but did not seem particularly special. Particularly given the wait for the food. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrées and there was a considerable wait between courses and for each to come out. We've eaten at other well regarded restaurants and, unfortunately, Fruition was a disappointment, will not be coming back. Because it is a small quiet restaurant, Fruition would be good for couples on a romantic date who would enjoy the ambience. If you're looking solely for good food, others are better."

  • "Very upscale food with a more casual ambience. The service was friendly and helpful with recommending dishes. The seasoning of the dishes were unusual and spot on. My absolute favorites of the evening were the roasted brussels sprouts, duck confit pierogies and German chocolate cake-perfectly done! The evening was a combination birthday and new job celebration. Fruition is the ideal place for celebrating! Well done, Chef Alex!"

  • "We really enjoyed our experience at Fruition. Could not ask for better service! The starters and main courses were absolutely fantastic. Do not miss out on the Coq au Vin. Literally one of the best pieces of chicken I have ever had. The only part of the evening that felt lacking was the desert menu."
