We started off with the spinach ravioli which you could tell was handmade from fresh ingredients and had a very robust cream sauce. For our main courses, I had the bacon-wrapped pork loin, which was extremely tender and had an excellent apple marmalade to complement the pork. My boyfriend had the salmon which by his account was excellent and had a mango marmalade, which I tried and also loved. We finished with the chocolate gourmand which was also amazing.
The restaurant was crowded but our waiter did his absolute best to provide excellent service and we had a great time. We had a group of six which I thought may be too large for such an intimate restaurant, but this was not a problem. In fact our table was perfect, quiet enough so that we could all hear each other but not too crowded. The service was excellent and all the courses were delicious, especially the duck. My wife enjoyed the fish and the pork was perfectly prepared. I might also mention that my cocktail was a nice large glass. We have never had a disappointing meal here whether for lunch or dinner. I think they have many regular customers as it isn't in the restaurant "section" of town so can be easily missed while out driving around. We were greeted warmly and professionally at the door by the host waiting at the end of a small but well stocked bar. Our waiter appeared promptly and was also friendly and attentive without being intrusive for entire meal. The wine list was more than adequate with good to excellent French an California selections. We took some friends there for their first visit, and they loved it. We had the steak, the dungeness crab napolean, and the organic roasted chicken breast, and every dish was delicious.
