  • "Excellent food and service with a view of Lake Tahoe"

  • "The view is absolutely breath taking and the food was fabulous! We started with calamari with an aioli sauce that was very tasty. For the main course we ordered Alaskan King Crab Legs and the Cowboy Rib Steak. Both were excellent! I can't wait to go back!"

  • "We had friends from Central Mexico. We wanted to have a special dinner for them somwe decides tomtake them to Friday's Station. Tom and Martin mede it extra special. Martin was very kind explaining their dinning options since they did not speak English."

  • "We had a great table, a booth that looked out at the gorgeous Lake and the whole view is breath-taking! The food was very good, my husbands' steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. Both of our Dishes were good. It is spendy so I would consider it a special occasion type of restaurant."

  • "Have spent at least 30 out of 43 anniversaries at Friday's Station. Always make reservation at least one - four weeks ahead requesting window table. Old Bill says everyone makes that request will see what he can do. We did get a window seat which was the best part. Food ok not up to par with the great meals we have had in the past. Lamb requested medium was raw and my husband didn't want to ask for it to be cooked more. Just not up to the standards of the past, we will make a new tradition for our remaining anniversaries."

  • "The filet mignon with blackened prawns was really good. The primi veal was lacked of taste. The view was wonderful! I gave it a 4 stars because the hostess could have a little more smiley face:-)"

  • "I have been here before with the same outstanding service, ambiance, food selection and taste with perfect service. If you look at the price if it, hands down its priceless for the perfect evening!!"

  • "Great view of Lake Tahoe. The bar is excellent for people watching and Stephen the bartender was excellent to serve us. The mixture of drinks and wine were great."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "Our overall experience was excellent!!! The scenery was outstanding & the food was even better. The menu is very extensive with a variety for all to eat. The wine, beer & spirits are also very up-beet & in tune with the times. The crowd was also very lively."

  • "Excellent atmosphere, unbelievable views, superb service, food was delicious. We were treated like royalty, the vibe was festive, and having been there several times before, we had expectations and they never fails. We had dinner at another 5 star restaurant in a neighboring casino the night before and it was hands down, the best restaurant we go to in Lake Tahoe. We are locals and have been everywhere...Friday's Station is by far the best restaurant in South Shore and perhaps the entire lake."

  • "Excellent dinner. Great view of lake Outstanding service. Pricy menu but, the food and service was worth the price."

  • "Fridays Station has always been a favorite. The food was excellent and the service even better. The views of the Lake are always a treat. A great place to take out of town guests"

  • "Most tender Filet, succulent lobster, and a view of Tahoe at sunset? Are you kidding me!? Absolutely perfect dining experience."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "We went for the view and always consistently great service an steaks, but the truffled mashed potatoes with the steak were unbelievable! One perfect bite with the steak, potatoes and mushrooms still makes my mouth water!"

  • "It's clear that you are paying for the view. The food was average for a steak house, but the prices are way above average. The Snoopy salad is good and the prime rib was good, but everything else, including soups, other salads, and sides were ordinary at best. The filet for what is supposed to be a top notch steak house was just average. The service as well was just average. Considering the price, what we got, other than the view, was a disappointment."

  • "Friday's station has been a favorite of ours for many years. We normally come here for special occasions, and it has always been very enjoyable. We came here this time for our 51st wedding anniversary and while the service and views were wonderfull, the filet and lobster were not. We both had fillet mignon and lobster tail at $83.00 each, and the fillet had grissle and the lobster was tough. We have never had a bad meal before, but this one was not good. I have always recommended Friday's Station to my friends and relatives, but I won't anymore. Too Bad, it's a great place to eat in all other respects. Steve & Jeanie Busch"

  • "The best meal I have ever had. The filet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. The crab legs were fresh and very meaty. I wanted to savor every bite and I didn't want the meal to end. The view is breathtaking as well!"

  • "First time dining at this restaurant. Four of us enjoyed King Crab legs (exceptional), Veal Chop, Ahi appetizer, Sea Bass & Lobster. The food was cooked to perfection and the presentation was fantastic. We're booking another reservation while we are still on vacation here in South Lake Tahoe. We were very pleased with the wine selection. I think that the only down-side was the glare from the sun. Whereas the restaurant has a gorgeous view with strategically placed see-through window filters, the sun was so strong and I had a glare in my face the entire meal (and the radiating heat could not be compensated by the air conditioning: we were warm!)"

  • "They were helpful and quick in rearranging my seating when my party of 6 became a party of 3. The view is great but the food was not special for a steakhouse. The service was fine but not outstanding. The price certainly was not modest. I think it is a good place for a special occasion but not up to outstanding steakhouses."

  • "We've been to Fridays Station many times in our thirty years of travel to Lake Tahoe. We love to take friends for the view, but everyone wants to return for the great food and service. Bob, the manager, always greets us and sees to it that we have a great table with a view of the lake at sunset. It's worth the trip every time. It's a red meat place but there are lots of seafood choices as well. During Summer months, a table at 8:30 will get you a beautiful view of the sunset over Lake Tahoe. Not cheap, but worth the price!"

  • "A very special anniversary was mentioned, but ignored. Never noted. Don't expect any special instructions or requests to be acknowledged. The food was good and our server Kelly was wonderful, just really disappointed in our corner roof view and lack of any follow through. Why do you ask if you don't don't advise employees? When we told our server, she brought us a nice treat, and apologized she was not aware. --Via online reservation. The restaurant is pretty noisy--if you are seeking romantic ambiance, but the food was really good. One of the few restaurants in town we'd actually refer people to...having lived on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe for over 23 years."

  • "Menu is limited, some items cooked great some just so so. Can't get tartar sauce with fish. We liked to come here for BD and special times, but think we might look around for a new place. Cost is very high for what your get."

  • "We were hoping for a better table. Bob sat us at probably the worse table in the restaurant...right by the entry. Really no view at all. We had made a reservation later in the evening hoping we would get a better one. On a more positive note, our waiter, Tony, was wonderful and food was delicious."

  • "We had dinner here 38 years ago while on our honeymoon. It wasn't the same restaurant. We missed having a hot spinach salad fixed right at our table and then the crepe Suzettes for dessert. Overall, however, it was very good. The bus person seemed more interested in pleasing us than did the waitress. My husband ordered a salad and there was a ladybug in it!!! Of course, we got a new one -- or did we really???"

  • "Visiting Friday's Station has been a staple of mine for well over 10 years and I'm just now getting around to writing about it! When the lights, sounds and craziness of Harrah's casino drives you mad and you want a quiet place to relax, have a wonderful meal and take in an amazing view, Friday's Station is your ticket. The service is par excellence and the wine menu is excellent! Then there's the food...my God, amazing. One of the finest steaks you'll ever have."

  • "When the food is this bad the view doesn't matter. This place used to be amazing. I don't know what happened but when you end up comping 3 of the 6 entrees ordered because they were unedible something is wrong. The prices are Sky high and the quality and service are way low."

  • "We just celebrated our 32 wedding anniversity with fine dining at Fridays Station. Our dining experience was very good. We were sat quickly and all the staff were extremely polite and proactive to all our needs. As i requested we were giving a window table with a very beautiful of the South Lake Tahoe Skyline and the lake. The restaurant feel was elegant and our food was great! For such a great place the food prices were easy on my wallet. The great food and fantastic Service is what keeps us coming back year after year. Since we live in Grass Valley its quite a drive, but well worth it. It my wifes favorite place and thats saying something since we travel a lot. See you next year and probably again this summer."

  • "The restaurant is substantially overpriced. My companion had the chilean sea bass which she thought was beautifully cooked but was a very small portion. I had the mixed grill. The meats (double lamb chop, a short rib and a sausage was very good) but sadly the veggies with it came to the table luke-warm and undercooked (and I like my veggies crispy). The molten chocolate was delicious but barely molten. I probably should have had a steak, but they all looked grossly over priced. "

  • "My husband and I dined at Friday's Station with friends (another couple). Each of us was very happy with the evening. My husband raved about the lamb chops, our friends loved their prime rib. I was delighted with the vegetable melange. I had also ordered the mushroom feuillette, which was wonderful. We had previously made a point to dine at the Summit each time we visited Tahoe. Since Harrah's has closed the Summit, we will very likely make Friday's Station our restaurant of choice from now on."

  • "We have gone to this restaurant a few times and the food is hit and miss. Most the time it's great but occasionally it's not. The issue is it's quite pricey and fixed, so you pay for what you order and pray it's an 'on day' for the cook. The one thing you can't beat is the view. If you request a take lake side you can see the beautiful lake at South Lake Tahoe. If you are lucky enough to get in at the right time we always try to make our reservation about an hour before sunset - that way we can enjoy watching the sunset over the lake during our meal. Friday's Station also has a vast wine list!!"

  • "We spend a lot of time in South Lake Tahoe, and this was the first time dining here. The first words that come to mind to describe it are "very expensive." Dinner is $50-$70/plate. Don't get me wrong, I'm cool with spending a lot of money for a meal (for a treat), but I want the first words to come to mind to be "wow, what a great dinner" - not how much it cost. We understand everything needs to be a little more expensive up there, but this was excessive. The food was averagely good, not exceptional. Daily fish seemed fresh. Steak was nice quality meat. The service was fine - not attentive, but not bad either. Average meal, average service, great view, high price. "

  • "Four of us had reservations at 7:15. We decided to meet at the bar at 6:30 for cocktails. At 7:00 I checked us in at the podium to and let them know we would be in the bar. 7:30 came and went so my wife went to see when our table would be ready. Apparently we had already been "checked off". We were seated immediately. The food was very good. The prime rib may have been the best I've ever had. The service from our waitress was a little bit lacking. She was very friendly and knowledgable but didn't seem to check on us very much. For dessert, the cappuccino martini was incredible! We've been here before and will return again. Hopefully the service will be a little better next time. "
