  • "Overall this was a great fine dining experience. It is expensive for my taste but I wanted to show some guests to Tahoe a fine time and this surely did the trick. The food was perfect but it was 40 minutes from the time we ordered until the entree arrived. This was probably more noticeable to our group because only one person ordered a side salad. The service was great and the servers and busing staff were friendly. As for the view, how can you beat looking over Lake Tahoe?"

  • "We are often asked for recommendations for good restaurants in Tahoe. We checked out Friday's Station since we haven't been in several years. The T-bone steak and prime rib were good. Prices are $4 to $5 higher on the current menu than the web page. Seating is a "crap shoot" regardless of reservation requests. We were seated in a remote location. When we asked for a table with a lake view (per reservation request) we were told that wasn't possible but we could be moved "closer." We watched the same seating pattern happen with other couples. Complaining seemed to result in better tables. If you are willing to take your chances on seating and willing to pay the price, you can get a good steak."

  • "We have been dining at Fridays station for at least five or six years. So imagine my surprise when we go this time and it is horrible. It was loud, serice was bad, food was of poor qualiy and it took forever. We will never go there again, I'm sorry to say. We eat at nice restaurants all the time and the prices were inflated, the wine prices elevated, and the whole experience was disappointing. There were seven of us and none of us will return. It was a weekday so there is no excuse for the service. It was a very unpleasant experience. We had gone to Edgewood the night before and it was wonderful!"

  • " you would think after makingf reservations in January or February for August 4th, that my party of four would get the window seat with a view of the lake that I requested. This was a special event for my grand-daughter; needless to say, I was very dissapointed. the concert was great, the rooms at Harrah's fine, however, the four hundred dollars I spent for dinner could have been put to better use."

  • "Our experience was less than optimal. Our reservation was at 5:30pm - when the restaurant opened. Even though there were many empty tables the host tried to seat us at a table behind a post blocking any chance of a view. The presentation of the food needs to be updated, we had the same "triangle of rice pilaf" five years ago. The restaurant itself is also very dated. The view windows very full of fingerprints. The only good thing was the server was very polite but did the minimum to make our dinner pleasant."

  • "T- Bone was not a good quality cut, to chewy, grissle, very dissapointed. Ordered wedge salad, lettuce wilted could not beleive they served it. Heard some people say food was good, maybe we got a bad night. Don't think I'll return. I've eaten several times at the Sage room, much better."

  • "My husband & I were in Tahoe for our 2nd wedding anniversary & had made reservations to celebrate. To our unpleasant surprise, the hostess gawked at us when we told her of our reservations. We were confused, but followed her to "our table". Mind you, this restaurant has been praised for its fabulous mountain views, etc. The hostess walks us to the back of the restaurant- in the corner, by the restrooms- & seats us in a large booth set for eight people (there were still only 2 of us!). We expressed our concerns with the poor seats & that we made reservations so we could see the lovely view. Her snide response, "everyone comes for the view." We did not stay, as the price for food would only be worth paying if you had some kind of a view!"

  • "We were visiting here while on our 50th Anniversary trip and consequently were eating out nightly. This BY FAR had the most fantastic view of every restaurant visited. The sunset at Lake Tahoe took our breaths but not appetites away. We had wonderful service from the moment we arrived and the food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Nice for any dinner but especially wonderful for a special occasion."

  • "We had reservations in advance, checked in at desk, we sat in the bar for a drink, and waited for our table. the host forgot about us and seated 3-4 other people in front of us, we went to the desk to see what happened and they said that they thought we were going to eat in the bar ha-ha. straight up dumb dumb. This was a special anniversary dinner too. So that did not start of to good. Had to sent back oysters, did not taste good at all. any way that is how the evening went at the friday station. We wont be going back to dinner ever again, even though we have been going to dinner there for years on our anniversary ."

  • "Have spent at least 30 out of 43 anniversaries at Friday's Station. Always make reservation at least one - four weeks ahead requesting window table. Old Bill says everyone makes that request will see what he can do. We did get a window seat which was the best part. Food ok not up to par with the great meals we have had in the past. Lamb requested medium was raw and my husband didn't want to ask for it to be cooked more. Just not up to the standards of the past, we will make a new tradition for our remaining anniversaries."

  • "Tiny portions of truly bad products badly cooked (bitter tough asparagus spears, dry fish filets with no discernable taste, winkne with no resemblqnce to one which we had been drinking for years and probably wasn't the same in spite of the label). Thanks to the waiter's sharp eye my fish was sent back and replaced with a piece cooked the way I had asked for it to be cooked but my fellow diners didn't even bother. They, like most French people, didn't complain but they will never return and will never more recommend it to friends and visitors. We have had ine dining experiences there in the past and are sorry to see such a beautiful venue disappear from our list of places to go on special occasions."

  • "Our recent dining experience at Harrah's Friday's Station with a large group of 16 was superb for food, service and ambience - until the checks arrived. We realized that having a large group with 8 separate checks could be a problem; therefore, we inquired 24 hours ahead with the matr'd to determine if the restaurant could accommodate this request, to which he responded in the affirmative. Once again during the day of event, we confirmed this request and confirmed it a third time with the wait staff before ordering. However, once dinner was completed (and couples sat across from each other for this purpose), it took at least 1 hour, 15 minutes for the checks to arrive. This made for a very disappointing end to a lovely evening."

We had dinner at another 5 star restaurant in a neighboring casino the night before and it was hands down, the best restaurant we go to in Lake Tahoe. We are locals and have been everywhere...Friday's Station is by far the best restaurant in South Shore and perhaps the entire lake."

  • "It's clear that you are paying for the view. The food was average for a steak house, but the prices are way above average. The Snoopy salad is good and the prime rib was good, but everything else, including soups, other salads, and sides were ordinary at best. The filet for what is supposed to be a top notch steak house was just average. The service as well was just average. Considering the price, what we got, other than the view, was a disappointment."

  • "Friday's station has been a favorite of ours for many years. We normally come here for special occasions, and it has always been very enjoyable. We came here this time for our 51st wedding anniversary and while the service and views were wonderfull, the filet and lobster were not. We both had fillet mignon and lobster tail at $83.00 each, and the fillet had grissle and the lobster was tough. We have never had a bad meal before, but this one was not good. I have always recommended Friday's Station to my friends and relatives, but I won't anymore. Too Bad, it's a great place to eat in all other respects. Steve & Jeanie Busch"
