A word from Frida's
Frida’s features “Artsy Latin Cuisine” - a dining experience unique in style and taste.

Inspired by the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo known for rich and vibrant paintings, Chef Victor Rodriguez has drawn upon his own heritage to create a rich and vibrant dining experience. Our signature PESCADO RELLENO (Stuffed Fish) is a whole fish stuffed with shrimp. Other popular selections are COCHINITA PIBIL (Pork baked in Banana Leaves) and BARBACOA (Bar ba’ koa), Frida’s Latin inspired version of the classic French beef bourguignon. FRIDA-fixe, available daily from 5-10 pm, offers three courses…and one of them is your Margarita, for only $18.95.

The Studio Lounge @ Frida’s features our signature cocktails including a variety of specialty FRIDA-rita margaritas, FRIDA-tini martinis, and FRIDA-tail cocktails.

Sunday Bruch for $15 and includes fresh baked muffins, fruit platter, beverage and your choice of entrée.

  • Not your run of the mill Mexican

Frida's food, service and ambience will make you want to return over and over again. This is NOT your run of the mill, 5 ingredient throw together. Cocktails are prepared with imagination and care and come from a bar that is comfortable and warm in texture. In the dining room, decorated to reflect the flair of its namesake, the food is the star especially the second page of the menu featuring fish, meat and chile rellenos prepared in light, savory and creative dishes. You won't be over whelmed by overly spicy or heavy sauces; the preparations compliment the featured ingredient with appropriately flavored accompaniments. Chef Victor is making magic in the kitchen. For the quality of the food, the price point is excellent.

Problem was the host could not or would not find my Open Table reservation. He asked me if I was at the wrong restaurant. Really? When I showed him the confirmation number, he looked at me with an aire of amusement. When queens collide.

  • Excellent Food...

Everything I've ever eaten here has been delicious, and made "in house", margaritas are excellent also! One of the owners, Victor, is very hands on, from greeting guests, recommending speciality dishes and clearing tables if necessary, I admire that in an owner, if more restaurant owners were more like Victor, maybe they wouldn't go under as much... The food did take a while to come out, but was certainly worth the wait... Prices are comparable with other restaurants in the area, but food quality is much better... Highly Recommend!

Was there with table of 8 on Friday of long weekend. Restaurant was fairly quiet. . We had a nice table outside. Getting drinks took a long time and the food was not very good. Had carnitas.. which I would not recommend. But no one at the table enjoyed their meals. Chips were warm and good but salsa was not great.

  • The WORST

We were initially excited to experience their Taco Tuesday. That excitement was VERY short-lived. We had a reservation but were kept waiting to be seated for almost 20 minutes. The four of us each ordered the taco Tuesday special which didn't please over COMPLETELY rude waiter. We had the impression that we weren't spending enough to satisfy him. They took FOREVER to arrive (almost 45 minutes). And to make matters worse they ran out of chips and salsa to tide us over while we waited. On top of all that they RUDELY refused to honor our 15% off discount card. One of the worst dining experience I've had in PS. Obviously I won't be back!!!

On Mother's Day, my wife who is the mother of two wonderful daughters enjoyed the food and ambience. Just the right kind of relaxing moment as we ate and imbibed outside the restaurant. One note of discrepancy is the slow service although my waiter was friendly and patient. We felt that the service could be improved. Other than that, the overall quality is wonderful. My wife likes it.

The food is not your typical Mexican. It's all prepared by someone with serious culinary aspirations, and it works. The Chile relleno, Chile Con Carne, spinach enchiladas are all great. Everyone on staff is great and friendly, though not always as attentive as they could be.

We had a very good dining experience at Frida's. The service was excellent. The food was very good - the menu has some very creative Latin selections. I enjoyed the enchiladas suizas in a creamy sauce. My partner liked the casa verde burrito. I really enjoy sitting outside. Overall a very good experience.

  • Fine food, but . . .

I tried Frida's for the first time with a party of eight. The menu was interesting and varied. No problem finding something to like. My only real complaint is that the restaurant was 70% empty the night I went, it took an hour and 15 minutes to receive our food. So - an 8:15 dinner ended up being a 9:30 dinner.
